A: Gina, this unit is specifically designed to make a thicker, Belgian style waffle. Teh Cuisinart WMRCA-P2 which is also sold at Target, may better meet your interest as it is designed to make a traditional style waffle.

A: Target Buyer, this beautiful waffle maker does not come with removable plates. Having said that, due to the fact that they are nonstick, I find them very easy to wipe clean. Hope this helps!

Love this Belgium Waffle Maker. I got the round one. Works perfect. I have it set on 4. Although the instructions say to pre-heat it before adding batter, I've found it makes both sides evenly crisp if I just add batter and start cooking. If I pre-heat, the top is crispy but the bottom is not.

I love this waffle maker. My waffles turn out great every time. I have tried the different settings and I tend to keep it on the same setting and every time they come out the same. Light fluffy and so far it has been easy to clean with very little effort. I also love the fact I can put it by standing it on its side.

So happy with this waffle iron..made waffles and grill cheese sandwich so far & impressed with their crunching. Looking to try Belgium liege waffles next which is why I really purchased the appliance. Easy to clean and doesn't need much spraying with oil for release. Heat Dial seems to work well as well as the green light letting you know when along with a beep. Only negative is it seems as if steam is escaping on one side but haven't noticed it affecting what I am cooking. Does sit upright when not in use which allows it to require less space which is a REAL plus. Just wish it had some kind of locking mechanism to secure the top when stored as it wants to open up when stored. Maybe a large rubber band can be used. Will try it
