Q: Is it possible for one person to carry the shipping package of this set over the stairs? Also, is there any requirement of assembling the parts?

  • A: Ours arrived in one big box. My husband is pretty strong, but the delivery guy had to help set it inside our house. We opened the box and took everything out. It was too bulky otherwise. The ottoman and chair came put together. Then my husband and I both carried the chair up the stairs. With the swivel thing underneath it’s just awkward for one person to carry alone.

    May be my least favorite purchase of all time

    Not sure how this chair has the high rating it does - every review I see says it squeaks and that’s exactly what I came here to say. Was ok for the first month or so then the squeaking started, and now it’s developed something that makes a thud noise and feels like it’s hitting something. I had to check to make sure it wasn’t hitting the wall or a lamp. No, it’s just that bad. Currently writing this as my 4 month old wakes every 15 seconds from being rocked in a chair as loud as a fire alarm.

    Worse Chair for a Baby

    For the price, this glider has been a huge disappointment. It stains easily and won’t clean well, for something marketed for nurseries, it’s disappointing. Even worse, the chair squeaks constantly. Trying to rock a baby to sleep while the chair makes noise with every movement completely defeats the purpose of a glider. Instead of calming, it’s distracting and frustrating. This chair is poorly made, and not practical for real life with an infant. I expected durability, comfort, and quiet operation. Unfortunately, it delivers none of those. I would not recommend this product to any parent.

    TERRIBLE

    Started squeaking incessantly after two weeks of use. You know what doesn’t help the constant screaming of a newborn? A chair that squeaks every time you rock it. Yes, tried WD40. Chair just sucks.

    Squeak much?!

    So disappointed in this chair! The squeak is bad and comes at around 2-3 months. I’ve tried oiling the hinges and nothing works. The squeak is loud and terrible especially when you are trying to get a baby to sleep! Save your money do not buy!

    For the cost of this glider, in my opinion it is not worth it. I'm not sure how this glider got more than 2 stars. I got this glider based on reviews and wouldn't rate it higher than a 2. I'm 5'0 and slim and I feel like this chair is extremely small. I like crossing my legs when I sit and when I'm in this glider I don't have enough room to do so. Glider feels cheap and is not as comfortable as I thought it would be cushion wise. If you like comfort and big spacious recliner/gliders this is not the glider for you. Again price is not worth this glider at all.

    Beware of the squeak!

    I have had this chair for 11 months now. The fabric has held up and it looks fine. Its pretty comfy if you don't have to sit in it for 2+ hours with a sleeping baby in your arm. The biggest down side is the squeak that started about 2 months in. It really sucks when you have just gotten your newborn to sleep and have to get up to put them down and the squeak wakes them up. Listen to the reviews and see how many people complained about this problem. I would not recommend this chair for a nursery.

    PERFECT for smaller spaces!

    If you're looking for an incredibly comfortable nursery chair that works in smaller spaces, congrats, you've found it! The cushion is both cushy and supportive, the pillow is the perfect size for lumbar support or supporting your arm while nursing/feeding. The arms are nice and soft, too, which is great for when baby decides to randomly throw their head back with exceptional vigor. The glider is nice and smooth and quiet, as is the swivel. The ottoman is sturdy but surprisingly light! I like being able to bring it over to the dresser to put clean laundry away without having to bend/crouch a bunch, and it's obviously great for propping your feet up. It's on the smaller side, but I would hardly say it's too small by any means. I wear a women's size 10-12, usually, and there's a comfortable amount of extra room when I sit in it. I've found that it's holding up really well, so far, and I've heard great things from people who have used this glider for multiple kids. Overall, highly recommend!!

    Overpriced and Cheaply Made

    We’ve been using this glider for 8 months now and it seemed okay at first but after sitting in it for extended periods of time, it’s so uncomfortable. It’s also already starting to wear. It makes an obnoxious creaking noise when you rock back and forth and when you lean to either side it makes a grinding noise and you’re unable to rock or glide. This product is cheaply made and for the price we paid, I’d expect it to last longer than 8 months.

    review: after two years of use

    likes: pretty chair, ottoman, not too big for nursery, comfy, swivels, holds up pretty well! dislikes: starts to squeak after awhile, NOT for anyone with larger hips or plus size (i’m on the XL size and my hips and body fill it up especially pregnant with number 2 and with the kid), arm rests have started to peel, stains easy. this is with use AT LEAST twice a day, more when he was little. has gone through two moves. it’s a great chair, it will last you. this is an honest review. two years of use

    Uncomfortable

    After one month of sitting in this chair for many hours with our newborn, I can say that this chair is incredibly uncomfortable. I am 5'1" and this chair demolishes my back. The back is incredibly straight and does not offer any lumbar support. The arms of the chair are low so that doesnt help with feedings so sitting straight up is a must. The rocking and gliding is nice, and the fact that it comes with an ottoman is a bonus but the pain that I am experiencing is not worth it.

    Poor execution
