Q: Reviewers of the smaller 13" size of this basket say it is shorter than the stated height of 11". Is this basket 14"H or is it a few inches shorter? I have space for 12inches. Thank you!

I purchased this to create a housewarming gift basket. It felt so high quality and fit SO MUCH inside, that I ordered two for myself as well. It would work perfectly for throw blankets but I use mine for clothes that aren't quite dirty yet but not clean enough to go back in the drawer, and then for sandals/slippers. I threw the sandal one in the wash with my towels and it came out fine! It looks so beautiful every where.

I have had these since 5/19 in my back foyer area for storage where there is no sunlight and they are not exposed to anything. I didn't even occupy the home full-time until 7/20. These baskets have acquired an odor similar to the spice cumin that happens frequently with hard plastics, especially outdoor pots. I have tried everything for the last 9 months to get rid of that smell short of washing them in a front loader which is against the instructions. Customer service is unable to help, but admits that this should not be happening. They have to be replaced with a higher quality basket as it reeks when you walk in my back door and is highly unpleasant. I would not purchase any of these again and I am out the over $100 I paid for them!
