Decoupage Shell Décor Craft Kit - Mondo Llama™

Whoever designed this kit cannot do basic math-it says it comes with 12 crimping beads. You get exactly 12. But the directions explain that you’re going to need three crimping beads for each of five strands and 3×5 is 15 not 12. I especially was amused by the finished product illustration which shows only 12 crimping beads used. On the middle three strands pieces are magically just staying on even though there’s no crimping bead to hold them there. Seriously wondering if this was AI generated really would a human being have done something this idiotic? I have not bothered to try to put the kit together yet as I have to go to the craft store and buy more crimping beads. I do at least have a pair of needle nose pliers with which to crimp. The outside of the box really should list tools needed, but not included. I also have serious doubts about how easy it is going to be to trim the decoupage paper from the edges of the shells. Still debating whether I will bother with that or not. Really, even for an adult craft this seems like an awful lot of work for a wind chime that it says you should keep indoors.

Not enough crimp beads. How do you expect people to finish the project if you don't give them enough supplies?

Cute project with lots of difficulties… I think it could have been made more simple. The painting and tissue on shell is fun but making knots, shells falling down, the small gold beads don’t hold them in place. You also have to buy clamper.

The Mondo Llama Shells Wind Chime Kit was a fun little project to put together. All the supplies needed to complete it were included, instructions were easy, love that the paint and glue are non toxic and had no smell. The holes were predrilled in the shells and came with plenty of fishing line incase you made a mistake. It was so pretty once complete and love the sound they make as well. Worked great with my beachy style decor. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a quick craft that can be done in about an hour. I opted to turn mine into a garland which you can do following the same methods in the directions.

These shell wind chimes are so pretty, and I love how they sound when the wind blows. They look awesome hanging in my house and it gives the room a calm and beachy feel to it that makes me smile every time!

Mondo Llama Wall Decor shell Elevated decoupage shell kit doesn’t really appeal to me. I don’t think it’s my kind of wall decor. I think my kids will like putting it together though as a little fun project.

This is a fun craft kit, but a little more on the advanced side. The included instructions provided detailed steps in order to create the wind chime but it was a lot more time consuming than I expected. I love that it uses real shells, although, that makes them delicate and prone to breaking which was the case with a few of them. I love the contrast of colors and textures - it will be a beautiful addition to our patio in the summer.

If you enjoy crafting, this kit is for you. The kit includes everything you need to make a wind chime. You probably could also just use it as a wall hanging but I think it would be prettier as a wind chime. Can always substitute different napkins in a style you prefer over the included napkins.
