The bowl for the grout was far too small. Had to use - and throw away - a personal bowl from the kitchen. Second, there is not enough grout powder. Tray looks pretty shoddy now. Wouldn’t buy again or recommend

I really love the brand Mondo Llama. This is the first product I have been unhappy with. Some of the tiles arrived broken and they were not evenly distributed. I tried not to over complicate my design and just created a row of each color. By the time I got to the last three to four rows, I was missing two to five tiles of each color. I could not complete my project as a result. I am going to have to ask for my money back. This is the only product of theirs I have ever disliked.

I like it. After I finished it, I wish there was more grout power. Mine was almost not enough. The container seemed too small. I ended up using bigger disposable cups. I have extra 3 mosaic pieces left. It was fun. I don't think I recommended it to friends.

This is my 4th or 5th Mondo Llama craft kit, and it wasn’t my favorite, but I did enjoy it. I wanted to try my hand at tiling, so this was a low-effort entry point. Not all of my tiles were fully colored, unfortunately, and the kit only came with two extra. I’d also advise using a pair of craft tweezers to pick up the tiles for glue, once you have your design. I took others advice and mixed in a solo cup, instead of the tiny bowl, and I’ve saved some grout to fill in the little corners and broken grout spots. Overall, I’m glad to have tried a new thing!

I was so excited to do this craft but it turned out to be a huge fail. The big issue was that the bowl for making the grout mix was WAY too small for the entire bag of powder, plus water. So I ruined a different, bigger bowl since it didn’t all fit. Once I put the grout on and started spreading it, the tiles started shifting due to the wet grout. This might have been my fault by not gluing them hard enough? But anyways, once 30 minutes were up and I needed to wipe the excess grout off the tiles, they started to move again. The grout was so hard to sponge off, and then once it fully dried the grout was cracked everywhere, and so I ultimately had to throw it away. I don’t know if it was my fault but I followed every direction very carefully so I don’t know what I did! But I was very didsapointed.

This turns out so cute. It takes some patience because you have to wait for it to all dry and place all the little tiles. It’s so worth the wait and effort. I wish there were a few more of each color because I couldn’t fully finish the pattern I wanted but I just did something else for the last bit. It’s also a decent size and could comfortably hold a few coffee mugs.

This was an impulse purchase, and for once, I'm so happy I bought it! The quality is excellent and it's been a beautiful, relaxing activity. This craft is perfect for those of us who enjoy detail, quiet activities where you need good fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, like puzzles, knitting, drawing and coloring. It takes a few days to complete - first you design your project, then you glue the tiles, and only after the glue dries you can start grouting, so you have to be patient. You get only 2 extra tiles so keep that in mind when working on your design - make sure you have enough of each color. All in all, I can't recommend it enough, specially if you get it on sale

My kids loved this. Everything was great but there was not enough grout to cover the entire tray- wish they would give a little bit more. My 10 and 11 year old did this on their own except for me teaching them how to do the grout.

Loved the concept of this tray! Loved the colors and bamboo board but the grout application is tedious plus I feel like it needs to come with a syringe otherwise application gets messy and it looks like most of rhe bamboo board is sadly going to be covered in excess grout.

This was so fun to make! I feel like it is definitely not for kids, as it’s a bit tedious. However, it was really fun for me. I will recommend using a bigger bowl to mix the grout, though. The bowl provided is much too small. I was able to spell out “DAD” and gave it to my husband for Father’s Day. He really liked it!

The trays are a cute concept and a good art activity to do as a family but there are several things that fall short (probably a downfall of being mass produced with limited quality control): they don’t give enough grout to evenly cover the tiled tray and the ‘bowl’ provided isn’t actually big enough to hold the grout once mixed. The trays are also pre-printed with the square placepoints, but it’s not even, so the lines in the tray trend uneven. The most frustrating thing has to be that they don’t provide enough of each color tile to complete the design ideas they include and needing to use colors that aren’t part of the design to finish.

So much fun!! I’m 31 but had a great time doing this craft. Definitely is alot of work. Wish they gave you a few extra tiles of each color but oh well. Figuring out a pattern was the hardest part! Also, if you’ve never tiled before and dealt with grout I could imagine it being frustrated cleaning the grout at the end but it takes hours to get the grout haze fully gone. Just in case someone is doing this and had never tiled before!
