Good for price
Craft was fun and engaging but material left very little room for messing up. Additionally grout powder took very long to dry and is very water specific or it will be messed up.

It’s cute. Turned out nice. I made it for my bf for Valentine’s Day. The bowl they provide isn’t big enough to really mix the grout. Easy to do but time consuming!

Fun, Simple, & Creative
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! a Fun, Simple, and Creative DIY project that is just as rewarding as it is a beautiful keepsake item! One crucial recommendation or piece of advice I would offer to anyone who is considering purchasing this kit, is to BUY 2 KITS if possible, as the kit only comes with the EXACT number of tiles for all the spaces needing to be filled on the tray (so if any tiles are lost, you are likely to come up short), and also, I ended up needing more than one bag of grout mix to lay an even layer of grout that filled in all the spaces between the tiles. Overall, I highly recommend this kit for those of all ages. Super fun activity that you can be as creative with as you would like! I give it 5 stars!

Helpful Tips
This was such a fun craft to do! A few tips: 1. The grout reactivates as it gets wet which made cleaning my tiles quite a chore. Try to be as careful as possible when pouring your grout and wait at LEAST 24 hours before wiping- the ~20 minutes they say to wait on the instructions is wild lol 2. When it fully dries it does crack a bit and slightly shifted my wood sides due to the grout expanding and cracking. I ended up painting Mod Podge over the top to seal in the grout and avoid any moisture reactivating it. The Mod Podge filled in the cracks somewhat and gave it a better overall appearance. If you care at all about using the tray after making it, I’d highly recommend doing this 3. You don’t need much glue for the tiles. That took a while to fully dry as well and when pouring in my grout, some tiles started sliding and shifting.

Great but needs more tiles!
This was a really fun project to do with my 9 year old. My ONE dislike is the lack of extra tiles. We had exactly 1 tile left. 2 if you count one that was damaged and unusable. It seems like a really simple thing to add a few tiles. That’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars.

Good idea, bad execution
I was disappointed in the quality of the materials and lack of directions. It says it includes video tutorials but the link does not work on the box. I would rather them charge more for the kit and give quality materials, like the garbage sponge they said to use that just spread the grout around and made a mess to try and clean the surface after it had dried some. Good idea, bad execution. Do not recommend.

Great kit for this price point with a few issues. Here’s some tips: 1. Glue- Be careful when putting the cap back on. The tip can get stuck in the cap which makes it difficult to apply. One small dot is enough. I applied it two columns at a time instead of one row which I think helped to make sure everything was aligned. 2. Tiles- Another reviewer recommended using craft tweezers for this which was incredibly helpful. 3. Grout- Use paper/disposable bowl for the grout as the one provided is too small. Since many of the reviewers said there wasn’t enough grout, I added about 15 more ml and had just enough. 4. Sponge- The sponge fell apart almost right away. I used paper towels which is not a good idea since they obviously fall apart too. I recommend just using a better sponge.

Disappointing!
Sadly when the grout dried the wood tray cracked. Now it doesn’t sit flat and doesn’t look great. Disappointed.

Missing materials.
Incomplete kit. It is missing glue, mixing wand and mosaic tiles are both enough to complete it.

Limited Design Options
I ultimately liked the finished product, but I could not make the design that I wanted to. There are just enough tiles (2 extra, and one of those had a defect), to cover the entire tray. This really limits the designs that you can make with this kit. That was the most disappointing part for me, personally. Because of the limited tiles, I had to line them all up first, and then glue them down. If you glue as you go, you might be disappointed in the final result.

PoP not grout
So I'm really sure this is plaster of paris, not grout/cement as the instructions say. But I'm not planning to use it with anything wet so it's probably fine. But if you carry your cold drinks on it and they sweat onto the tray, the "grout" may dissolve. It's probably easier to clean up than grout though, so this might be a feature if you're worried about making a mess. Also if you're like me and lost the instructions for a while.... 50ml water. I used 50 and a splash extra.

Not enough materials
The bowl for the grout was far too small. Had to use - and throw away - a personal bowl from the kitchen. Second, there is not enough grout powder. Tray looks pretty shoddy now. Wouldn’t buy again or recommend

Missing Tiles
I really love the brand Mondo Llama. This is the first product I have been unhappy with. Some of the tiles arrived broken and they were not evenly distributed. I tried not to over complicate my design and just created a row of each color. By the time I got to the last three to four rows, I was missing two to five tiles of each color. I could not complete my project as a result. I am going to have to ask for my money back. This is the only product of theirs I have ever disliked.

Fun projects, wish material is more.
I like it. After I finished it, I wish there was more grout power. Mine was almost not enough. The container seemed too small. I ended up using bigger disposable cups. I have extra 3 mosaic pieces left. It was fun. I don't think I recommended it to friends.

Fun Craft!
Made this as a birthday present for my sister. She loved it and I loved making it. Def took some time and wouldn’t recommend it for kiddos.

Enjoyable little kit
This is my 4th or 5th Mondo Llama craft kit, and it wasn’t my favorite, but I did enjoy it. I wanted to try my hand at tiling, so this was a low-effort entry point. Not all of my tiles were fully colored, unfortunately, and the kit only came with two extra. I’d also advise using a pair of craft tweezers to pick up the tiles for glue, once you have your design. I took others advice and mixed in a solo cup, instead of the tiny bowl, and I’ve saved some grout to fill in the little corners and broken grout spots. Overall, I’m glad to have tried a new thing!

Improper Tools. Crappy Grout.
I was so excited to do this craft but it turned out to be a huge fail. The big issue was that the bowl for making the grout mix was WAY too small for the entire bag of powder, plus water. So I ruined a different, bigger bowl since it didn’t all fit. Once I put the grout on and started spreading it, the tiles started shifting due to the wet grout. This might have been my fault by not gluing them hard enough? But anyways, once 30 minutes were up and I needed to wipe the excess grout off the tiles, they started to move again. The grout was so hard to sponge off, and then once it fully dried the grout was cracked everywhere, and so I ultimately had to throw it away. I don’t know if it was my fault but I followed every direction very carefully so I don’t know what I did! But I was very didsapointed.
