Q: Is this good for beginners

A: I am a beginner and found it to be much easier than expected. I did watch a couple of YouTube videos on how to do it first. The instructions it came with are good, but watching someone do it helped a lot. It took me about 3 hours (including unwinding the skeins of yarn) once I psyched myself up to try it. It turned out beautifully! I am going to make a few more as gifts!

My (almost) 12-year-old son got this for Christmas. The instructions were very clear, and it took him about 4 hours to make (with a few breaks). I shopped around for yarn to make a blanket at Michaels and Joanne’s and i will say that this is by far the most cost effective to make a fairly large blanket in terms of prices of yarn. 30 dollars is such a good deal! I didn’t bother reading the paper instructions and opted to look at YouTube videos since I’m a visual learner. It was my first time doing this and took me around 4 hours. The yarn is very soft and i really enjoyed making it. I will be buying a ton of these to make to gift to my family for Christmas this year. I highly recommend!

My 12 year old got this as a birthday gift. She figured out how to do it on her own and it turned out great. Be careful when unwinding the yarn because it can get tangled easily.
