A: Hi there! To dry you would have to bake it. Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (not included). Place your trinket dish on top of the parchment paper. Bake for 30 minutes for ¼ inch of clay thickness. NOTE: Baking times may vary according to clay thickness and oven temperature accuracy. It is helpful to bake a test piece before baking your completed work. Remove from oven and let sit for at least 15 minutes. NOTE: It will remain slightly soft and flexible until it cools. A: Hi ZanyArt. That's a great question! Well this kit is intended to make two dishes but the size depends on how the user rolls out the clay. If desired you can also combine all the clay to make one large dish. Happy Shopping!

Disappointing Result
Just like many other users, this clay was dry and not malleable at all. It was very disappointing. I have worked a lot with clay, so I am used to the initial stages of getting it warmed up and this just handled differently, almost too plastic in texture. When it finally became somewhat workable, it stuck to the mat more than expected. The items made were baked, but didn’t set completely or bake hard, despite additional cooking time. I would not recommend this, even though the clay colors, tools, clay quantity and mat was a plus, the end result fell far short of expectations or usability.

Unusable
The product was pretty much unusable since it was way too dry and hard to make anything out of. I even added a ton of water and all it did was break apart. Waste of money

I highly recommend!
This was a fun family movie night craft project. While we watched a movie we worked on it with tools we had around the house as well as the ones that came with it. Just roll the clay around in your hands (which was relaxing) to warm it up to play with it. We left it in the oven about 10 minutes longer than directed and let it dry overnight. My 12 year old made the strawberry one on her own. A month later and it still looks great!

A lot of clay! But doesnt set.
I was surprise that it came with so much product! A lot of clay with a lot of colors, so you can make one large piece or several smaller pieces. I feel like you need way more professional tools to create anything close to the sample images, but it was still fun. My main issue is that I followed the cooking instructions perfectly, but it never really set in the oven. I had a larger piece and a smaller piece. I had to put them both back in the oven for another round. The larger piece stayed soft and the smaller piece stayed soft and crumbled apart. I think I would still try this again because the price point is low enough that I’m ok with the cooking frustration.

Challenging
More challenging than expected. Needed to knead the clay for at least 45 minutes. Clay also sticks to provided mat so it’s difficult to remove your project to bake it. Probably would have used parchment from the beginning. Also you can use one kit for two people if making smaller size projects.

I made the prettiest coasters with this kit!!! Maybe some people got a bad batch and thats why their clay was dry? My clay was easy to work with and I added just a little water as needed. I get so many compliments on these and they were so fun to make :)

The clay was so hard that it the product was unusable. No amount of kneading or water saved this clay. How old is this clay?? Do I look like a clay expert specializing in extremely dried out clay? Probably not or else I wouldn’t have purchased this product. Boo🍅🍅🍅🍅

Date Night
Was a fun date night activity for me and my bae. He had an ash tray shaped as an Xbox controller, I made a rolling tray with towelie on it. Still have plenty of extra color clay for future too. Followed instructions to a T. Had to bake for extra 5-10mins. Still a lil moveable after letting dry for few hours, but we will handle with care while using our creations. Definitely recommend for date night idea.

It says it only makes one dish, but you trying to make a ring dish size you could make 3 at least. Would recommend though
