DeWalt Genuine OEM 2 Piece Wrench Set - DWHT75497

Had this wrench set for a few years. They were handy sizes and the slim profile made them easy to get into tight places. However, the adjustment mechanism is jammed and the spiral screw will not turn. The set screw that holds the adjustment mechanism cannot be removed. As shown, there is no rust or corrosion that is causing the problem. I hope DeWalt comes through on a warranty claim.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cheap machining of these wrenches does not give DeWalt a good name.They were rough in action, off center and looked like they had been assembled from spare parts of different machining lines as nothing matched. The new grip material was a pleasant surprise as even with damp hands it wouldn't slip from your grasp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the wrenches are decent for the price range. Grip feels great, wide jaws will handle large bolts. Have had issues with jaws hanging if torqued hard on bolts nothing major just hangs and can’t adjust. Give it a slap and it will adjust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The yellow handle is has a nice rubbery grip to it, but I was surprised the the coating is shiny smooth with no micro texture. Works great. I like how tight the adjustment gear is to the wrench tooth; not sloppy. Snug yet easy to adjust.

The dip grip is great for wet applications, especially when dealing with wet piping. Its also useful that the measurements are on the adjustable glide, when trying to size nuts or bolts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DeWalt sent me this two-pack of adjustable wrenches to try out. The larger one is the 10-inch, model DWHT75496, and the smaller of the two is the 6-inch, model DWHT75495. At first glance, these are some very nice looking tools. The DeWalt yellow plastic-dipped grips are what really caught my eye. The plastic packaging that they came in was easy to open with a utility knife. Each tool felt good in my hands; not heavy at all, but with a good amount of heft that I expect from most tools. They didn't look or feel cheap. The only problem I noticed is where the plastic dip didn't quite drip off adequately from the ends of the grips, but those are just minor cosmetic flaws. The hanging hole for the larger wrench, though, had an excessive amount of dip coating inside of the hole, which might be a problem if I decide to hang it on a peg. As for the functionality of the tools, it's simple: they each do the job that they were designed to do very well. Each slide is easy to adjust, and neither had too much play in them. I really liked two specific things about the heads of each tool. First, the black parts of the tools' surfaces are excellent as far as being able to help me retain a good grip on the tools, especially to keep my thumb from slipping as I grip and turn each wrench. Whether it is some kind of special coating or not, I don't know, but I really like it. Last, the bolt diameter rulers on the sides of the slides are an ingenious idea. They actually came in handy a couple of times, both the SAE and the metric. I don't recall either tool slipping when I used them. Overall, if I could give these wrenches a 4.5, I would. Knowing what I know about them, I would recommend these to people that I know. These are some good, quality wrenches that I plan on using quite a bit.

They are as smooth as butter. I had do recently do some plumbing projects for the in-laws. I love the opening width and rubber grips. Thank you Dewalt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the covered grips, short handle and wide jaws these are most versatile adjustable wrenches I've ever owned, including Sn-p-On. I do maintenance at a food processing plant and use these often. Yes they are as strong as they look and the jaws don't move while using them as much as the competition. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] overall nice wrench! The mouths are very wide, the 10" is wider than my 12" from another manufacturer. The knurling on the adjustment screw is well done and deep. Adjusting is easy. They have moth opening in both inches and mm on the side, it's a nice touch. The only real complaint I could have is that the holes in the handle to hang are a little small, I hang most of my hand tools from nails and these barely make it over the nail head.

They are heavy made well constructed and etched measurements with a comfy grip no slip like my old slick metal ones once you get oil on are hard to hold, ain’t a bolt too rusted or siezed up to get worked loose with these.love these wrenches as well as a great addition to my collection, black and yellow all the way!

I've had this set for awhile now, and I've gotten some good use with them. So I feel like it's time to review these. They are easy to adjust, simple to set a size, the Lazer etched sizes are clear and easy to read. They both get a fairly good bite on whatever you are trying to tighten or loosen. I've put all my body weight on the larger wrench trying to break loose an odd size bolt, and surprisingly it held on and got the job done. Also that said, the wrench didn't deform or get damaged in any way. So all in all I'm very pleased with these wrenches. The only little gripe I have with them both, is that the jaws are very sharp. Nothing some use won't round out though.

I purchased this set about 4 months ago. I keep the smaller wrench in my fire department turnout jacket pocket. Perfect size. Highly recommended.
