Dimplex Ignite XL Linear Electric Fireplace

Great addition to our home! This electric fireplace delivers on all the things touted in the reviews we read... the realistic "flame", it's quiet, sleek, and safe (the glass really does not get hot).

The fireplace adds a cozy, comfortable aura to my family room. It is quiet and attractive. Enjoying its debut tonight while watching the News!

We've had the fireplace in and running for a bit over a week now. The heat output has been great as it's been enough that we don't have to run our furnace and my wife loves the rotating colours. Definitely recommend running 220v instead of 120v, however the instructions for doing 220v are not as clear. We also had an issue where the ""flame"" LEDs weren't lighting up correctly. After busting out the multimeter, power was being produced but it seemed like some of the wiring came loose during shipping. The trim kit to make it work in a 2x4 deep wall also looks great and is unobtrusive.

Haven't installed it yet, But it looks like it's a Quality item!

This product is looks great. I use it for my dinning room. However, the instruction manual was a little confusing, but was able to discerned the instructions.

We bought the XLF74 for our great room and it The fireplace is awesome!! I love the thin frame, various color settings and the realistic flames. We won’t use it a lot for heat where we live, but it seems to heat up the room pretty well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this linear electric fireplace is just the perfect ticket! i love that it is just under 6" deep. we have installed these in downtown condos that square footage is limited and to give up 18" depth into a room isn't preferred. which is what makes this awesome! you get the ambiance of a fire without sacrificing floor space. the fireplace is simple and modern. the optional birch logs change it to more traditional.

After putting this fireplace in my dad's house and 2 of our friends getting one, we decided to get one and put it in our bedroom. It's awesome! So easy to use, love the ability to change colors, the sleep timer, etc. Great product for great price!

The linear fireplaces are streamline contemporary and are easy to place leaving room for a tv above if that’s what you’re designing. With them only being just under 6” deep, they can be placed almost anywhere without requiring too much space. They aren’t going to heat up a big room but the ambiance provided is what’s key here. We have placed several of these in downtown condos where every square inch counts (since the whole living space is 650-1100 sq ft) and they are just perfect! With the different sizes available-up to 72”- these are also perfect for larger homes again not monopolizing too much space but giving you the appearance of an inviting fire. Different surround options and glass or birch insert accessories let you change this to your style; traditional to modern.

So I'm relatively handy, which is helpful as there are many steps to installing this correctly, including framing, electric, etc. It's a bit of a project, but not a difficult one. I'd recommend hiring someone to install if you aren't that handy. However, once it's installed, it's a thing of beauty. It heats up quickly, the controls are easy to use, and it looks great. It's a welcome addition to our home.

Very classic and fits into any decoreasily. I love the new features and all at the touch of a remote! This fireplace puts out a lot of heat really warms a room quickly and easily. Very beautiful piece I highly recommend!

We love all the cool features, like changing the colors, being able to use it with or without heat. It was installed without to much trouble but I would consider myself a pretty good handyman.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5 ft long fireplace is amazing. It's very elegant and made with extremely good quality and craftsmanship. The heating feature is awesome as it warms up a room the size of mine (about 12 by 14) in no time.

Love the way it looks in our new built in - just the right size! Chose it for the max viewing area. Most EF's have large black trim around the face...this 60"" maximizes the view.

We have not installed it yet, but we did inspect it and it looks like it is going to look great!

Love the way its sleek, modern look fits into our contemporary built in design. We researched about 10 different 60"" fireplaces and this was the most attractive and provided a taller viewing area than most. We love the multi color lights and the ability to blow heat if need be. Our installer recommended a dedicated plug for the fireplace. We will enjoy it for many years to come! It is just beautiful!

I love the look and the color variation. I wish it put out heat a little more but really happy with it.

Works as indicated. Nice addition to our living room, kitchen, dining area. (Open floor plan.) Would be nice if the remote was adaptable to my cell phone.

We love the unit, the ease of use, the look and the ease of changing color options.
