I would return this if I hadn’t ripped up the packaging opening it. It is supposed to clip on the dishwasher rack inside the dishwasher.

I bought 4 of my friends the plates, I loved it so much. I do like the black better. The words clean and dirty show up much better. I personally can’t read the words very well on the silver. I bought 4 so i must like !

A clean/dirty sign that’s not magnetic.
Although I have a stainless steel dishwasher, it is not magnetic. I’ve been looking for a solution other than a post-it note stuck on the counter. Using it for the first time right now. Now I just have to remember to switch it over when I load or unload the dishwasher. I think I will find it very useful!

We’ve needed this!
We have a second home that gets a lot of use by all the family. it’s so hard to know whether dishes are done. I’ve tried a few others, magnets, notes, phone calls. This goes in the dishwasher. It’s a good weight and easy to attach to the top rack with the side for clean or dirty up. So glad to have this.

Your husband will still call to ask
Great product but your husband will still call and text you to ask if the load in the dishwasher is clean. Except now he asks if I am sure that I flipped the clean/dirty “thingy” in the dishwasher and the follow up question “are you sure this load of dishes is clean?” Without checking if the dishes are clean before asking. Your mother in law will still load the clean load with dirty dishes thinking the load in the washer is dirty and not checking first completely ignoring the sign. This “thingy” is a great product in theory but it will be ignored by your husband … and sometimes your mother in law.

Easy to read & hang safely inside the dish washer.
I used to have a clean/dirty sign that stuck on the outside with a magnet, but it was always falling off and eventually broke. This new stainless steel sign hangs inside the dishwasher, which is much more convenient. Flipping it from dirty to clean after running the washer is effortless.

Excellent fit and INSIDE the dishwasher!
This solves a common issue with non-metallic dishwashers where traditional "clean/dirty" signs don't work well. Plus, it's childproof, so little ones won't accidentally change it. I haven't tested its durability yet, but I trust it will hold up fine. If there are any issues, I'll update my review

While this CLEAN/DIRTY sign is functional, the lettering is quite faint, making it easy to miss. It tends to blend in with the dishwasher's interior, which might cause confusion, especially if multiple people are loading dishes. It hangs conveniently on the top rack, but I do wish the words were more prominent for easier visibility.

Sign for Dishwashers
Forgetting whether the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty can be frustrating, but this little tool helps clarify things. It hangs on the inside of the dishwasher, although it's not as convenient to use as my sister's magnetized one that sticks on the outside. With hers, you simply flip it upside down or right side up, and the magnet does the rest. Mine hooks over the basket, so I have to unhook it, lift it off, flip it over, and hook it back over the rack.

Pros: Made of durable stainless steel, ensuring it won't break easily Hangs on the rack, preventing magnets from scratching the front of the dishwasher The black background makes the text easier to read Cons: Initially didn't fit my rack perfectly, had to widen the flaps for proper hanging After researching various versions of these dirty/clean indicators, this one met all my criteria: It's durable, easy to read, and won't scratch the door. Being inside the dishwasher, it doesn't look awkward like those stuck on the outside. Plus, there's no annoying adhesive tape, so I can place it anywhere and move it around as needed.
