Dolly Parton's Frozen Beef Pot Roast Meal - 11oz

So disappointing. I should have paid closer attention to the ingredients. What a joke. It’s all additives and preservatives and ingredients that could not possibly have been in her original recipe. I understand basic preservatives, it this is terrible. And why are carrots and other vegetables the very last ingredients listed??

I should have looked closer at the 5 star reviews. 33/43 were from “bakingwithdolly” web site. Curious that they had to import reviews from elsewhere to boost its’ Target rating. The carrots were undercooked. The meat was tough to chew. The amount of product was dwarfed by the bowl. The only positive thing was there was plenty of gravy for me to eat with 2 rolls.

Tastes great! Beef is tender and there is as much beef as potatoes. Onions and celery pieces as well. The carrots taste bad but I have encountered that problem in ALL frozen dinners. Gravy is so tasty too.

This has been one of the best frozen meals I have ever had. The flavor was excellent. I hope you expand your selections

Dolly Parton's Beef Pot Roast is yummy in your tummy! I prefer cooking in the oven. Each time it's perfect. Gravy really makes this meal.

I saw these on sale and decided to try the beef pot roast. The sauce was good, lot of carrots, tender potato chunks but the meat was disappointing. There were maybe six little cubes and they were as tough as shoe leather. I had higher hopes because of the Dolly Parton name.

This is a fantastic frozen dinner pot roast. the flavor is great, the vegetables have a good texctur, the meat is too tough or to fatty, and the gravy is thick and savory. highly recommend the meal especially on sale

My initial take on the smell was it was trying to smell like a country buffet. Oddly, I could smell wood paneling. After my nose became accustomed to the smell, it took on the characteristics of a decent pot roast tv dinner. Visually, it looks very tasty, which led me to my first bite. The wood paneling smell came through in the introductory flavor hit. It was like an artificial flavor that you can't quite put your finger on, but you know it's meant to be like something rustic. Maybe it's the gift shop in Cracker Barrel. RIP Cracker Barrel logo. Potato chunks were surprisingly well cooked. It felt like they got more than enough attention, almost reaching perfection. Carrots on the other hand were a bit snappy for my taste, but only at the core. I prefer my potato and carrots to be the same softness and almost melt in your mouth. The beef as others have pointed out is probably low quality. However, this should be a known quantity with frozen meals. I guess folks just like to complain! I found the beef to be soft and well salted (which is probably a requirement for beef like this). As I continued the meal, I reflected on Dolly's life and influence on all of us. This meal seems to hit that mark. Dolly makes no qualms about her upbringing and how she dolls herself up to express herself. I can't help but think every choice with this meal was intentional. This isn't meant to be a top shelf product that you get as a gift or rave about. It's meant to sustain you and remind you of who you are and where you come from. Just like Dolly, we cannot escape who we truly are. Thank you, Dolly.

I know a couple things for certain. Some of these reviews have to be fake, and Dolly sadly sold out. Definitely not needing the money putting her name on this garbage processed meal. The vegetables and gravy aren't bad, but the meat is made for dog food at best. Shame on you Dolly.

I have been craving a juicy and savory beef pot roast and thought I would give Dolly's version a try. I live alone so cooking a pot roast for one person seems daunting. This pot roast was delicious, hearty and just the right amount to satisfy my craving. I will be stocking up on this meal in time for the cold weather!

The flavor is awful, I couldn’t eat it. I can’t quite pinpoint what the flavor is supposed to be, but it is disgusting. I love Dolly, which is why I wanted to try this.

Not good. Potatoes were corked like a bad wine. Meat was OK but there are much better options out there

We just discovered Dolly’s meals in the store and loving all things Dolly, we had to try it out. Unlike many other meals from other vendors, the product is very like the photo on the box. Very generous portions of all the product. I was actually “full” when completed. The carrots, the beef cutlets and other vegetables were significant. I’m definitely going to try the entire menu!

Reminds me of Sunday Pot roast after church. Gravy is yummy!

Just got this today been wanting to try it when it first came out. I wish it came in family size it was so good I wanted more of it. I will be getting this again. Can't wait to try the other ones.

This is the 1st time trying the Beef Pot Roast. The vegetables and gravy was very good, but the beef was so tuff we couldn’t chew it. My dinner had only 4 little pieces of meat. Sorry, I won’t be purchasing this product again.
