Trashy red disgusting cake the quality and the ingredients used was very poor as if they scrapped things together just to pull it off
Disgusting! I had never had such a cheap knock off cake. It should have just been named red cake because there’s nothing velvety about this thing at all. The icing was cheap. The cake itself was cheap. Tasted like a sponge Bundt cake with very light icing. I will never purchase such a thing again and I am returning this to the store because $16 is definitely too much for a plain cheap red Bundt cake with nothing white icing. And the icing didn’t even have a taste. I mean this is the worst cake I have ever bought out of a store. Target is definitely wrong for this one and they should take it off the shelf $17 for a trash cake. That’s the new name for it.

decent and cute cake!
i’ve purchased this cake twice in the past year and although it’s nothing gourmet, it’s definitely not awful! i think i may just be less nit-picky than others but my boyfriend and i have always thought it was good, we usually end up eating up pretty much half of the cake ourselves. it’s cute and does the job so if ur not interested in baking and you want to just grab a quick decent cake, this is the one!

Looks are deceiving
I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing this cake from Target for my nephew's birthday (he requested red velvet), and it was an absolute disaster. This cake was not only dry, but it was completely inedible. I strongly recommend that Target consider removing this product from their shelves to spare others from this disappointment. The cake's appearance was promising, but that was the only positive aspect of this purchase. The moment we tried to cut into it, the cake crumbled apart as if it had been sitting out for days. The taste was equally dismal; it lacked any hint of moistness or flavor, which is unacceptable for a cake. Such a cake can ruin what should be a joyful occasion, and it's disheartening to see Target offer a product of such low quality. I hope others can be spared from this experience.

Pretty cake but not good
This cake looked really pretty, but when I when I tried it I realized it’s looks are deceiving. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing. It’s stale, dry, and so crumby. Not to mention, some parts of the cake have no middle layer of frosting. Really upset I paid almost $20 for this

Target used to have slices of red velvet cake that of a cake that had a layer of fudge and cream cheese icing in the middle between the cake layers. That cake was moist and delicious. That is not this cake. This cake is dry and tastes of food coloring. I would not recommend
