Douglas 60" Hanging Entryway Shelf - Prepac

Like others, I was pleasantly surprised at how big & heavy this is. I was able to put it together and hang it by myself. (Yes, it would be easier to do with the help of another person) I wasn’t a fan of the silver hooks so I purchased black hooks & had to drill a new hole for each hook, the unused hole was easily covered by the new hooks.

Incredibly difficult to hang on the wall. Seems the 4” screws that were meant to go into the studs needed a really powerful drill and a special bit. Once the shelf was up, it looked good and worked well.

Very heavy and good quality...we love it for when we come in and have a place for our outerwear, hats, gloves and keys.

Easy to put together and very sturdy when attached to studs. Love it for my garage mud room make over. We were going to make one but this was definitely worth the money! I added clear bins from M design at target to complete the space for kids hats and mittens storage.

Good quality and looks great! I wouldn’t be hesitant to buy again, although, the way they have you mount it to the wall isn’t sufficient enough. I screwed additional screws into the mounting piece that is already on the back of the unit and that made it 150% more sturdy than it was.

Fairly nice for the money, easy to assembly

Ordered product online. Took a while to arrive, no real issue for me there. Removed item out of the box and that’s when things started to go downhill. Apparently I received a product someone else tried to assemble and failed miserably. Wooden Shelves damaged from someone stripping the screws and then they screwed through the shelf. Apart from receiving a second hand item, I would say the product is ok. I do love the color! The wood looks completely synthetic. For $95 I would have expected a better quality. All in all, I’m going to make a return because the shelf sent to me was defective.

Decent quality, fairly easy to assemble, not quite as simple to hang due to the weight, and there are several screws that are easily visible with just black caps to "hide" them. The basic design is nice though and once assembled and hung should last many years.

Love the way this shelf looks, just assembled it and it's pretty good quality considering it's particle board. It's neutral gray-just as pictured. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pieces weren't labeled so it took a minute to get them figured out, and the large screws to use for the ledger board stripped quickly when installing.. luckily we had some heavy duty screws that easily screwed through the ledger board into the stud, so I'd recommend getting 4 additional screws as a back up for mounting the ledger board. This shelf provides lots of storage options while taking little room, we used it in a closet and love it!
