Yes, Unilever antiperspirant-deodorants – as do all antiperspirant-deodorants that comply with FDA regulations – contain aluminum (which is a safe and efficacious way to control sweat and associated body odors). According to the Personal Care Products Council, the overwhelming mass of toxicity data available does not indicate any risk of harmful effects from using any cosmetic/personal care products that contain Aluminum. As someone who has used this product for many years, I was disappointed to find that it has changed. The feel of the product on my skin as it goes on feels "slicker", and never seems to quite get dry. My underarms stay feeling "wet" and I don't like that. Please consider going back to the old formula. Unfortunately I now have to find a new deodorant.

Please change the formula back! Ive been using this for yearrrs. This was such a light and subtle fragrance that was perfect and fresh. The formula now includes linalool which is an ingredient used in bug sprays. I feel like I just smell like bug spray now when I wear this. Will have to find a new deodorant

As I was thinking it's all in my bead read o to it and yes they did change the formula.. doesn't smell as fresh as before and i do use it daily after a shower but there is a weird smell will be looking to change after using it for so many years... new formula leaves an armpit wired smell

I would give this zero stars if I could. They changed the smell and it irritates my nose and throat, it is a terrible irritating smell. It also gave me a rash.

I love this deodorant and have been using as far back as I can remember, however it’s frustrating that it’s so soft that it always breaks off early and you have to toss the whole thing. Especially in the warmer months

I never write reviews but this one can't be avoided. I've been using this deodorant for many years. Way, way back when it was cool melon. I had a difficult time finding a deodorant that really worked for me so I was very relieved when I finally found this one. Plus the scent (not the price) was great. However, I just opened a new container & the smell actually made me sick. I thought I'd gotten a bad product but after reading other reviews I guess not. I don't know who's bright idea it was to change from a scent I've gotten compliments on to this rancid perfumed baby powder mess but perhaps this isn't the job for them. I would suggest trash collector because if this new scent was able to pass inspection then real garbage will smell just as heavenly to them. There is nothing cool or essential about this product now. I will be on the hunt for a new deodorant by a different brand. Bye Dove.

The fragrance is a sicky perfume smell. I'm an unscented kinda girl but can't find the unscented dove advance care anymore. Thought the cool cucumber would be the lightest least offensive, but I was very wrong.

I’ve used many well known name brands in 47 yrs some not well known, scent & unscented varieties. All promising to keep me dry & smell free, I tried Dove 72hr advanced care cool scent solid 6-7 yrs ago I fell in love because it keeps me dry, rven during CA 100 degree days and high stress sweat moments & it lasts 72 hrs. I use on pits, under boobs, I have a separate stick just for bottom of feet before I put socks on or slip into sneakers barefeet it keeps everything dry & smells good with a clean light fresh scent yet it’s not overpowering with perfume.
