It really helps with itching and is gentle enough to use on the face! I added this to my shampoo rotation because Tsal + coal tar was no longer enough to keep the itching on my scalp and eyebrows at bay, plus I recently had a breakout of fungal acne. I gently washed my face with it and the pimples went down overnight. As a bonus it also smells nice.

I agree with the other reviews. This new formula is horrible. I loved the previous version (and my dermatologist said my scalp looked great). Whatever change was made was not good. I now have flakes and itching, and my hair seems brittle. Please go back to the other formula.

I have used Dove dry scalp shampoo and conditioner for years. Since changing the bottle it comes in I am having an increase in itching and flaking. Makes me sad. I will have to start looking for a new brand.

this was my holy grail after never being able to find something that works for me. last year when i tried it, it was amazing. my scalp was doing so good (old bottle). then i started to realize it wasn’t working for me anymore (new bottle), I started to get dandruff again, red inflamed spots etc. now after reading these reviews it makes sense (formula has been changed), i thought i was just crazy. don’t waste your time/ money on this product. so back to square 1 ill be looking for a new alternative. I really hope they rethink their decisions.

I had struggled with dry scalp and severe dandruff for my entire life. I’ve tried tons and tons of products that seem to work for a few washes, but never seemed to fully work. This product and the conditioner have been GAME CHANGING for me. I’ve been using these product for about 2 months and haven’t seen a flake since my second wash. Please never stop making this. I also love that it doesn’t look like a typical dandruff shampoo. My hair and scalp have never looked better.

I loved this shampoo in the triangular shaped bottle. I bought several bottles to stock up. It's the only thing I've found that calmed the eczema on my scalp and I was so excited. Recently, my scalp has been super itchy and bumpy again. That's when I realized I'm using the new bottle shape. The ingredients might be the same, but they're in a different order, which means that yes, the formula has changed, because the amounts of each ingredient are different. As an experiment, I switched back to a triangle shaped bottle I still had, and wouldn't you know it, after 2 days my scalp is soothed and so much less itchy. This is my last bottle and you can't get this version anymore. Dove, your customers are asking you to go back to the old formula...the one that actually worked. I'm so frustrated now I'm back to square one trying to find a shampoo that helps my eczema.

I have been using this product for years. Dove has ruined it by changing the formula. While they deny such doing it’s clear that the product is not the same and the formula has been changed. Very disappointing.

I bought this shampoo sometime last year and when I say it was instant relief and almost instant dandruff removal I was shocked and switched off of Head And Shoulders immediately. It was that good and that noticeable to my scalp. I bought two whole new bottles like last week (to restock ahead of time), and within the same day of using this not only did my scalp remain itchy. It also flared up with raised red itchy patches and even more flaky scalp than I started with. Instantly went to check if anyone else could tell and surely enough here we are. I am seriously so bummed out. It is hard managing something like this and to find a formula that works just for it to be changed is rough. I wasted money on two products I thought still held the same promise. I will probably go back to Head and Shoulders or at this point look for something new that ACTUALLY works. New formula is so bad it might as well have been a false advertisement. Nothing itch relieving about it.

I bought this shampoo over two months ago and after using it my hair started falling out in clumps when I’d shower and the itching got worse and a burning sensation started with it I couldn’t figure out what was going on till my doctor suggested i change shampoo now my head feels fine but my hair is now dry and brittle and super thin

Bought this not realizing they changed the entire formula along with the bottle. The new formula does not lather and feels like you're pulling your hair out while trying to massage into your scalp. Extremely disappointed with the changes, as I've bought this for years, I'll be changing shampoos now.

Thanks to menopause, I have started dealing with eczema and flaming on my scalp. I rotate this shampoo along with another treatment and so far things are perfect. Just remember that you won't get immediate results, it took me about a week before my flakes, itching and redness went away.

I had high hopes for this Dove dandruff shampoo. I loved the price point, and the smell was great. I have a dry itchy scalp and pyrithione zinc shampoos work for me, but this one just made my hair greasy and only took the edge off the itch. I passed it on to my son in hopes that it would work for him, but it just made his hair greasy too.
