I have used Dove original clean deodorant for at least 10 years. I recently purchased a two pack not knowing they had a formulation change in their product and not it smells and feels like every other deodorant brand on the shelf. It’s sickly sweet smelling and goes on like a wet solid instead of a dry solid. I had to literally shower off to remove the smell because it was so bad and was the reason why I had always chosen Dove original clean because it was the only brand to not have that signature awful deodorant smell and feel. I will be throwing out my recent Dove purchase and will be on the hunt for a new deodorant brand. I do hope they change the formulation back

The smell is completely different, has a floral scent now?? I’m very sensitive to smells and I could tell the smell and texture was off immediately. I now have rashes in my armpits and only have been using for 2 days.

Original Clean changed its scent, smells awful

I have been using Dove Original Clean for over 20 years now. I recently bought a 2 pack that was labeled Original Clean, and I was really disappointed to find out that the scent had changed. Both tubes have this horrible, rotten flower scent to them that smells absolutely awful. I've tried for a week now to get used to it, and the odor just makes me gag. Now I'm going through the painstaking process of trying to find a different brand that has a scent that isn't overpowering and disgusting. I have very sensitive skin and I am sensitive to strong odors. I wish they had been upfront about the change. There is no way to tell from the outside except that the new formula says '48 hour protection' and the old one said '24 hour protection'. If I were you, I would NOT buy the 2 pack until you try out the new formula, because you might just be throwing your money down the drain. I'm going to have to throw out the 2 new tubes I bought because the odor of the deodorant smells worse than wearing no deodorant at all!

Up unil the point I found Dove I experienced irritation from all the antiperspirant I tried but absolutely no irritation with Dove. The last time I bought it I could tell the formula changed when I first opened it. It was slightly yellow instead of white and it used to smell so fresh and clean and now it smells sharp and offensive. After using it for a few days I started noticing some skin irritation. I hope Dove brings back the ORIGINAL Original Clean Antiperspirant otherwise I will need to find something else.

I recently purchased a double pack and when I opened it, I noticed it was a different color. Almost had a tint of yellow to it. Didn’t really think anything of it. When I used it the first time, I knew something was off. The new formula is absolutely terrible. It smells bad and is not effective at all.

Adding myself to the chorus of disapointed voices over the new stinky formulation of this product. I've used this deodorant for ~15 years. It had the perfect "barely there" powdery-clean scent. Now it reeks like cheap fruity body spray. Not sure if it works the same on sweat but I won't be using it long enough to find out.

I've been using this deodorant as long as I have been wearing deodorant and I am SO disappointed that the scent has changed!!!! I am very sensitive to scents and it is so misleading of dove to brand this obviously new scent under the same "original clean" because it most definitely is NOT. The new smell is so bad and I'm so disappointed that I didn't know there was a new formula before I bought a two pack! BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!

Like seriously awful, it gives me headaches. It also smells like rotting fruit when I get sweaty now. I’m so disappointed that I will no longer be able to use this deodorant.

I have used this for years because I loved that the scent was light and fresh. The new scent is too strong and honestly, I am going to have to find another brand because of this. So disappointing when you have used a product for so long and then for no reason they spoil a great thing.

I'm here to add my name to the list of former customers who can't stand the new scent. The old scent was subtle, this is so perfumey, it's literally sickening. Gives me a sore throat and a headache. I have been buying this formula for years, and just bought a twin pack, only to learn that I've wasted the money because I can't stand to wear this. Time to find another deodorant.

I bought a 2-pack recently and when I used the 1st tube, I thought maybe Dove made a mistake with packaging and filled it with another scent by accident. So, I went back to the store and bought another...same terrible smell. I then went back and smelled a single stick in the store...you guessed it, it was the same horrible smell! I started to think it was my imagination and maybe my nose was just off, until I googled it and EVERYONE is complaining about the same thing. Today, Dove's "Original Scent" is no longer it's ORIGINAL SCENT. Why would Dove change the scent and not the name of it?? This is total deception to your faithful customers that have loved it for so many years! It took me so long to find a scent that didnt irritate my skin or nose and you totally ruined it. Sadly, I'll be looking for a new deodorant because this new "Original Scent" is a horrible mistake...BRING BACK THE TRUE ORIGINAL SCENT...PLEASE!!
