Q: Will this remove mineral sunscreens?

A: Hi, thank you for reaching out to us! The castile soaps in particular are fantastic at removing sunscreen, even mineral sunscreen which tends to be stickier. We recommend that as soon as you are out of the sun for the day, wash in a warm shower with the castile soap, using a washcloth, loofah, or poof. This will remove sunscreen from the skin. Because sunscreen, and the sun itself, is very harsh on our skin and strips down the skin’s natural moisturizers, we recommend following up with a moisturizer. Q: Is this safe to use while pregnant?

A: Our soaps and balms contain essential oils in amounts of 2% or less, so it’s unlikely that significant amounts of essential oils would enter your body. In addition, none of the essential oils in our products are ones you are advised to avoid during pregnancy. See a site like Parents.com or Healthline.com for more information. If you feel more comfortable avoiding essential oils altogether, we do have a line of products called Baby Unscented that is completely free of essential oils. To be safe, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider and following their recommendations.

Don’t know why I never tried this before. Honestly I think the abundance of text was a bit off putting. In any case, I love it! Found a recipe for foaming hand soap on their website, which I love. Also tried a small amount on a mesh sponge, works great. I am looking forward to using all my all purpose cleaner so I can try using the soap. Also looking forward to trying out some of the other scents.

I absolutely love Dr Bronner’s products. The lavender Castile smells great and can be used for just about anything. I use it for foaming hand soap, face wash, body wash, and as an all purpose cleaner. Smells pure and amazing too!

I love Dr. Bronner's soap. I began using it in college around 1999 when I was a young, idealistic hippie. When I went on a cross-country bicycle ride several years later, it was the only cleaner I brought and I used it for everything: clothing, body, bicycle, pot/bowl/utensils... I now use it the same as before, but I also mix half purified water/half Dr. Bronner's in a foaming soap dispenser for my shower and I think it last *even longer* this way. Plus it elevates my shower game 100%. I really love that even though I have metamorphosed from that young woman who first discovered Dr. Bronner's at the original Charleston, SC Earth Fare, Dr. Bronner's has not changed--it's still the same soap. Thank you, Dr. Bronner's, for honoring the past and helping foster a cleaner future with your products. I'm so glad you are still around. xoxo

In an effort to use cleaner products, my family and I switched to Dr. Bronner’s a while ago. We use it as body wash but the possibilities are endless! The lavender scent is our favorite, but all the scents are so good. One of our children has mild eczema and we’ve had no issues with their sensitive skin.

This is the only soap I have used daily for at least 20 years. Including shaving and shampoo. Why? Because of its all natural ingredients, non toxic. It cleans extremely well and never irritates my skin. I’m 72 years old and have no skin issues. You can’t put a price on health.
