We specifically formulated Dr. Scholl’s® Ingrown Toenail Pain Reliever for people who experience pain from ingrown toenails.
Why it Works:
• Ingrown toenails are a painful condition in which the edge of the toenail grows into the skin of the toe, or the skin of the side of the toe grows over the toenail.
• Dr. Scholl’s® Ingrown Toenail Pain Reliever uses medicated gel to soften the nail for easier trimming, and a foam ring and bandage to protect and cushion the affected area.
How to Use:
Step 1: Wash affected area and dry thoroughly. Then place retainer ring on toe with slot over the area where the ingrown nail and the skin meet. Smooth ring down firmly.
Step 2: Cut open tip of tube on score mark. Apply enough gel product to fill the slot in the ring. Immediately replace cap on tube.
Step 3: Place round center section of bandage directly over the gel-filled ring to seal the gel in place. Smooth ends of bandage strip around toes.

Dear Lord, the smell!
I have only used this tonight, but I am not sure if I will be able to stomach putting it on again as the offensive - worst chemistry lab memory - smell was so very overpowering. I am hoping it is a wonder product as my podiatrist is booked out for months, but honestly this is the most offensively smell I have ever encountered outside of having to run past the local sewage treatment plant for our high school ski team training before we'd get snow in the winter...

Better than expected!
I've only been using this for one day and there's already a noticeable difference. I combined this product with soaking my feet, and the pain went away overnight. Other reviews noted the smell of the gel. Thankfully it's not super strong, it just smells like deviled eggs to me (I don't like deviled eggs). But I can overlook the smell for how well this product works.

Not worth it
Did this product help with the pain? Yes it offered me relief.. but the aftermath was not good. A blister formed between my skin and nail wish was more painful. Be very careful and mindful before using this product.

Great product but a waste!!!
It is a great product I can agree to that fact, it really works but the gel stinks to high heaven and you purchase this kit, but when you get to the end of the bandages there is still quite a bit of gel left, so after purchasing several of these kits we now have 7 tubes of the gel and no bandages and pads to go with it. You have to keep buying the kit to get more this situation is nuts !!!

Faster than Natural Remedies and Less Painful
I mostly work in physical labor, and due to that I tend to have this issue quite frequently. Anytime I treat my toenail naturally it can take months before my issue is resolved. With this product it only takes about 3-5 days for me, it really helps with the pain too. I will be honest I try not to wear it to work due to how often I end up bending my feet. When I bend the bandage will bust and the softener gets everywhere. Besides that this product has always been reliable for me

Atrocious Smell
I only used the product one night. The smell during the daytime at work would be most embarrassing. I honestly tossed it.

Not bad
It’s a great product and using this and soaking my toe in bath salts really relieves the pain. If you have a severe infection it IS GOING TO BE PAINFUL the first time you use it. After being consistent with the application and soaking, my toe does feel the lot better. But be warned, the smell is atrocious lol. Read directions throughly.

Got some outgrow on the whole left side of toenail. Now it is eating away my left side of my toenail, and at the bottom of nail. It is itching and all red. So beware of where you put this product it can ruin your nail.

I have the worst ingrown toenails where almost any shoe hurts and my manicurist always takes them out & it's been beyond painful. I've since used this consistently after needing to find an answer and came to my manicurist and when she did the toe that I didn't put this on it was so painful but the toe I have been using it was SO smooth, didn't feel anything! wow. So obsessed.

This Stuff WORKS!
Amazing product! I had a bad pedicure and ended up with ingrown nails on both sides of both big toes- luckily they flared up one at a time. So painful! We were about to go on vacation, and I really thought I’d have to cancel. Couldn’t get in to podiatrist, so bought this stuff. I felt pain relief after the first application, and after 3 applications the nail softened. Was able to lift it up and out from under skin. Sweet relief! Eventually, I treated all four corners and it worked, all 4 times! Target also has the best price. The smell was very faint- it is a sulfur smell- but as soon as you apply the bandaid, it is covered and sealed. Plus sock and shoe, I don’t know how you’d be able to smell anything. I’m stumped by people who gave bad reviews because of smell. I bought additional packs in case it happens again! Be sure to use as directed- you’ll likely need a second box.

Works well in a short amount of time
I was skeptical to purchase this after reading reviews but it works well! I used it two days in a row, applying once a day in the morning and was able to remove the embedded toenail with no pain. The gel has no scent - it’s the bandaids that are provided that have a strong latex smell to them. I put a regular bandaid on top of the latex one provided to cut down on the smell.
