A: Dear Amanda. We are not exactly sure what you are refering too. We only provide screws to mount the brackets for the rod set. The finials are attached to the rod when you purchase the product. The finial are a screw-in design and therefore can be removed, but this screw is fixed to finial itself.

A: Hi Tlcandkc, Actually, as the manufacturer of this product a more complete answer is that our finials are made of different materials depending on the type, design etc. For this particular product of the Café Rod Ball the Finials are made of ABS.

Q: Are you able to remove the ball at the end of the rod and connect two of them or remove both balls on the end or cut them off to get them close ?

A: Dear Hasard. The finials are a screw-in design. There is a nut inside the rod that enables you to screw-in the finials. The nut is hard to remove and even more difficult to re-insert. Therefore, we don't believe our rod set design is suitable for your requirements.

Wrong Color
I got a bunch of these, so they could match all around the house, but didn’t want to spend a ton. I got a mix of black and copper when I ordered all black. My husband didn’t notice until he had already installed all of the hardware. It’s not that noticeable, so we are just sticking with it, but check and make sure you get the right color! So far they work fine though.

Terrible hardware
Drywall anchors do not go in and damage drywall when attempting to. After making the 1/4 inch pilot hole in the directions, it does not tap in or screw in. The anchors are too large and the threads are too dull. If you buy this, you will need to buy your own anchors, or attempt it without any anchors.

Extremely cheap, hardware will destroy your wall
The rod itself is extremely cheap. It's essentially hollow tin and scratches super easily, not to mention when you adjust the rod length it doesn't lock so if you pull it too far by accident the pieces will detach in the middle and fall. Then I tried using the hardware. I drilled the holes and when putting the anchor rods in they make enormous holes in the wall and were unable to take the screws since they just kept going deeper.
