Q: If you put the smaller rod inside the larger rods to expand it, how do you screw the finial on? The scew is on the smaller rod which is now inside.

A: You put the wrong end of one half of the rod into the other half of the rod. I had done the same thing. Take it apart and turn it around.

A: I had the same problem with the 66"-120" product. I figured out how to configure it so that the smaller rod is in the middle of the three rods; however then I couldn't get one of the finials reattached. The finial is designed to attach to the smaller rod and not to the larger one. This is a product issue. One that hopefully Target will address instead of giving unhelpful "answers".

Q: Is it possible to connect two 66-120 inch rods together so it can span the wall of my patio windows?

A: I understand the maximum length is 120 inches per curtain rod. That is not what I am asking. Again I am asking if the 120 inch rod can be connected to a second 120 inch rod, for a longer length with utilizing the two rods? That way I have just one long rod across the long span of windows with a finial at each end.

Look too plastic and cheap

I returned these because I wanted more of a brushed finish with less shine, and the decorative knobs on the ends look cheap. It's hard to tell online exactly how some things will appear in person. You can see a prominent seam where the plastic was molded on the ends. I know it will be high up on the wall, but it caught my eye immediately. I returned them.

This is my 4th copy of these curtain rods. They're easy to install, sturdy, and look good. The design is nice-but-modern but not eye-catching. Ideal. They're much sturdier than some older generic rods I had used. Note this rod in 2024 is identical to my years-old ones, so no fears on additional pieces not matching. Well done, Target folks.

A very nice curtain rod

I really like this curtain rod. It seems nice and sturdy, and it looks good in my living room. It was easy enough to put together. However I would have had a problem if I hadn’t already read some of the previous reviews. Someone mentioned that there is a little plastic piece inside the ends of the tubes, which you have to remove before you can insert the smaller part into them. There was absolutely nothing about this in the instructions. So thank you to the reviewer who brought that up!
