Q: If I hang this rod at a 5' sliding door will I have to use a support in the middle? I want to use sliding drapes and a support in the middle would not allow this.

A: While the rod is very pretty, it's also very lightweight. I'm only using it for two valances over a sliding glass door and I'm using the center support. I also don't have it fully extended. I don't know that this rod would hold drapes with much weight to them but even if it could you would definitely need the center support. I was actually a bit disappointed at how lightweight the rod is but given the price I'm not too surprised.

I love the look of the rod and I'm only using it for a couple of valances over a sliding glass door but it's much lighter than I was expecting.

Q: Each time I open or close the curtains, the width of the curtain rods changes. Is there a way to keep the rods in a stationary position? Did I install them incorrectly or miss a step in securing them?

Q: I cannot get the 66" to 120" rod to adjust lower than 85". I have a 66" window and want the rod to extend to longer than 66" but less than 85". How do I do that?

Do not buy if you need it to go to 120
If you're looking for a solution for wide windows, don't buy this. Once we installed at the full width, sliding the curtains meant the whole rod came crashing down. Even without that the rod isn't straight when extending. I guess it's fine if you only need a shorter rod but we'll never know. Returning.

Can't use electric screwdriver to install
the brackets are designed in such a way that you cannot use any kind of electric screwdriver tool to screw them in once the holes are drilled and the plugs are in. the only way you have enough clearance is to use a manual long screwdriver which is very difficult. terrible design.

Poor design
The hardware this comes with is so cheap, the plastic anchors break when you put them in the wall. The rod goes through a circular bracket to hold it up- it’s very hard to get curtains on and through the middle bracket. With three enclosed brackets you have to take the finials off to get everything up. Just a really bad design and hard to use.

Broken End
Sturdy rod. However, after it was installed and curtains already on it, as I was going through the box and plastic wrap I found a small part of the decorative ball in the box broken off. It would've been WAY too much of a hassle to take it down, rebox it, and request a new one.

Size adjusting
The rod is beautiful. Instructions on how to adjust the size are lacking. After reading other reviews we figured out we had to take the small rod all the way out so we could see it had screws to attach the finial. That allowed us to adjust to less than 85” length.
