Q: If I hang this rod at a 5' sliding door will I have to use a support in the middle? I want to use sliding drapes and a support in the middle would not allow this.
A: This rod is very lightweight, it won't hold much weight even with the center support but even with lighter drapes you would need the center support. I love the look of the rod and I'm only using it for a couple of valances over a sliding glass door but it's much lighter than I was expecting.
submitted byNan - 7 years agoA: While the rod is very pretty, it's also very lightweight. I'm only using it for two valances over a sliding glass door and I'm using the center support. I also don't have it fully extended. I don't know that this rod would hold drapes with much weight to them but even if it could you would definitely need the center support. I was actually a bit disappointed at how lightweight the rod is but given the price I'm not too surprised.

Q: Each time I open or close the curtains, the width of the curtain rods changes. Is there a way to keep the rods in a stationary position? Did I install them incorrectly or miss a step in securing them?
A: Hello SMH, thank you for your question. On each end of the bracket, there are tightening screws that will keep your curtain rod in place. Sincerely, Umbra

Q: is third bracket required for length of 100 inches ?
A: Hello nick, We recommend using the 3rd bracket for any rod extended beyond 84" - otherwise, the rod may sag under the weight of your curtains. Warm regards, Umbra

Q: I cannot get the 66" to 120" rod to adjust lower than 85". I have a 66" window and want the rod to extend to longer than 66" but less than 85". How do I do that?
A: Hello Heidi, thank you for your question. In order to adjust the curtain rod lower than 85" you will need to only use two out of the three rods.
