Saltiness ruins it.

Disgusting. I question the authenticity of the other reviews here as none of them mentioned the fact that there is a significant amount of salt added to the sugar that the pineapple chunks are covered in. This gives the dried pineapple and chili a weird buttery aftertaste that is frankly kind of disgusting. These might make an interesting garnish for a mixed drink but as a snack they are revolting.
