Works great for wife. When we first put the feet on it was to high so we lower it to fit an old tub. She enjoyed her independence of taking a shower.
Very large seat

This bench is huge. Unless you have a very wide tub, it won't fit. The bench is 20" wide, so measure your tub before you buy this.

Doesn't fit standard tub or hold listed weight capacity. I purchased this when I broke my leg as I was non-weight bearing for 3 mths. It didn't fit well in my standard sized tub, the legs not fully sitting flush on the bottom unless I turn it to fit sideways. However, when you do that, your legs don't fit in the tub. If you sit on the stool sideways, you're not sturdy. Also, I'm plus sized, but I'm not anywhere near 300lbs and the legs bent. I lost weight bc of this injury and the stool legs bent. My son only weighs 155lbs and the legs bent. If you have a shower without a tub and weigh less than 160lbs, this might work. Maybe.

I have a standard size tub and it doesn’t fit. If you turn it sideways, there’s no place for your legs. They shouldn’t advertise it for tubs. Assembly was easy, no tools required

Fell apart. On the second or third use my father fell to the shower floor lucky he wasn’t hurt.

Please reveiw entire owners manual prior to use: Additional safety precautions : 1. Inspect all parts for shipping damage before assembly. If there is shipping damage - DO NOT USE. Contact dealer/carrier for further instructions. 2. Make certain that the height adjusting snap buttons fully protrude through the same respective hole of each leg extension. This will ensure that the leg extensions are securely locked in position and an even height is achieved. 3. Ensure thumb screws are tightened. 4. Check the rubber tips on the leg extensions for rips, wear or if they are missing. Immediately replace any or all if any of these imperfections exist. 5. All four leg extensions with rubber tips MUST touch the floor simultaneously at all times. 6. When used in a tub, make certain the rubber tips are not touching the sides of the tub wall 7. DO NOT stand on chair.

I purchased this for my mother in law. She is 230 lbs. The legs bent after a couple uses. Thought it might be defective so I ordered another. The legs bent again!! This absolutely will not hold up to 400lbs like the description says.

Don’t waste your money on this cheap piece of crap stool. The first time I used it, the legs started buckling inward so that the stool was trying to tip over forward or backward. This is a very very dangerous situation and I could have fallen in the tub. Very insecure legs on the stool.!
Good, but details incorrect.

It’s pretty easy to put together without any tools. The weight rating in the details here is incorrect. The paperwork that came from the manufacturer gives a weight rating of 300 pounds, rather than 400.

While rated at 300 pounds, my 245 makes it creak a little when I sit on it. So far, it seems to be sturdy.
Texture....

Elk - 4 years ago, Verified purchaser
Easy to assemble and feels sturdy. However, the texture on the seat feels uncomfortable and poky against my butt. I can’t be the only one who hates the texture these shower chairs have. I’m assuming it’s an anti slip feature but it’s nearly painful. I have sensitive skin so maybe it’s not common for most. I might buy a bamboo seat instead but hesitant because it’s higher maintenance.

The feet pads have a steel washer that will rust, and will stain your tub. Company unresponsive. Don't waste your money.
Not made well!

Haleet - 5 years ago, Verified purchaser
After a few weeks of use the legs bent on this stool making it very dangerous for a person who has just had ankle surgery like myself. I currently only have the use of one foot so needless to say falling due to bent legs on this stool is very dangerous!! There should be a support cross bar near the bottom of the legs for extra support. I’ve wasted my money on this item because it can no longer be used and now I have to purchase another brand shower bench.
