Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo Coconut Colada Scent - Ulta Beauty

This used to be my holy grail product but the reformulation is awful. Almost no powder comes out, just a jet of liquid that makes my hair even greasier. It's absolutely nothing like it used to be. I'm so sad that I need to find another brand now, and that I have four jumbo bottles I bought on sale that are going straight in the trash.

The product works well but I bought a double bottle and it no longer sprays any product. I can tell its at least half full but just blows air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You are not crazy — they’ve absolutely changed the formula. This used to be the best dry shampoo EVER - NO longer. The “original” formula now comes out as a brown, gooey spray that makes your hair wet instead of the clean white powder it used to be. They denies it. There are forums online discussing this exact change - NOT your imagination — the formula has been altered, and it’s now GROSS - ruined a great product. Do not buy the “original” anymore. And my review probably will not be published.

It turned my hair white, and when I brushed it through my hair, it left white residue all over my black shirt! This continued all day!

My last 3 full size cans haven’t functioned correctly. Ordered them as a bulk purchase during a sale so I wasn’t using them right away and the first can was fine. All of the rest only sprayed correctly for the first 1/4 or 1/2 can and then wouldn’t spray the powder (no matter the amount of shaking or and verifying the nozzle was clear). SO frustrating!!! The minis all continued to spray just fine so it wasn’t the delay in use, which wasn’t major anyway. The formula besides that is great. I really such they’d make the gentle in the same scent too.

No absorbing qualities. Leaves my hair worse off. Wet. Did you change your formula? Too risky to buy this product anymore. In total, I've had 3 defective bottles.

I’ve used this dry shampoo for yearssss. It was always my holy grail. I would even put it on right after a shower so it would soak up oils throughout the day, and it always extended how long I could go between washes. I LOVED it. But something’s changed in the last few months. It seems to make my hair greasier now - both when I put it on when my hair is already showing signs of grease and when I put it on freshly washed hair. In both scenarios, I keep ending up wishing I didn’t put it on. Which is especially unfortunate because I bought five bottles at once (I tend to buy in bulk to save time and the hassle of buying smaller orders frequently), and now I’m not even going to use four of them but I don’t think I can return them 😢 bummed that I have to look for a new dry shampoo brand now.

The gentle scent is makes this spray easy to use without giving me a scent headache. It does a good job of absorbing oil from my roots which get super greasy between wash days and my hair stays relatively clean throughout the day. Once you work it into the roots, the white powdery is more or less invisible. Complimentary from drybar

My hair gets dirty FAST since I work out so often, so dry shampoo is more than a want it’s a need. I love this Dry Bar dry shampoo because it helps me feel refreshed in between washes and takes care of the oiliness at the root. Gifted by drybar
