Call me a terrible person, but on Halloween I like to pick out all the root beer flavored ones and toss them around in the candy dish so they're blended in well with all the other candies (like the good and plentys I put in there as well, haha...) then I put it out there for the taking and watch as they all line up at my door, eagerly picking at grabbing at the candy one by one... until they realize, nothing is quite what it seems, and now they have a handful of root beer dumdums, good and plentys, candy corn and circus peanuts. Oh, the way their brows furrow, how their lips quiver, and the moisture that coats their eyes like a thin membrane. I love it. I love seeing their pouty little faces. I love seeing children cry.
