A: Thank you for reaching out to us. The Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner has fumes that are corrosive. It contains Sodium Hydroxide (Lye). Causes burns to skin and eyes on contact. Harmful if swallowed. Contents under pressure. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, mucous membranes and clothing. Do not ingest. Use only with adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing spray mist. Avoid excessive use on glass. Do not use on exterior oven surfaces, aluminum, chrome, baked enamel. Do not use on self-cleaning or continuous cleaning ovens. Avoid spraying over pilot light. Not for Apartments
Don’t buy if you have a small apartment or living space. The fumes from the spray are so strong it will fill your home and make it practically unlivable for 30 minutes. Unless you have a bigger home with proper ventilation, please don’t waste your money on this product.

Effective product, faulty spray nozzle.
Works great but spray nozzle failed and ultimately was only able to use about half the can. Bummer because I was blown away at how much baked on grease it removed with just one use and minimal scrubbing.

Shockingly Easy - Wish I'd Done It Sooner
Cleaning the oven with this product was shockingly easy. Don't believe the reviews that say it'll damage your oven. If you follow the directions, you'll have no issue. As instructed, we heated the oven to 200, sprayed the stuff in the oven, waited 5 minutes and just wiped out the gunk. I scrubbed with a steel wool, but you really don't need to; 90% of the gunk came off with a simple sponge. And the fumes really aren't that bad. I wore an N95 for the cleaning but mostly because I didn't trust the chemicals. The smell is not nearly as bad as I expected. Highly recommend.

Ruined my oven! Don’t buy this!
This is a chemical cleaner, and even though I followed the instructions, it severely corroded the surface of my oven. The damage is extensive, and I’m extremely upset! The smell is also very strong and lingers even after multiple cleanings. Later, I found out online that this smell can release toxic fumes when heated, posing a health risk. It’s better to use gentle and non-toxic products!

Stinks and not that effective
This is some heavy duty stuff, but it doesn’t even work that well! It stinks and requires a lot of scrubbing to remove from your oven. I accidentally sprayed a small area of the outside of my oven door while using this and it stripped some of the paint and left the area feeling grainy. Be more careful than me! But also maybe try gentler products before resorting to this.

It did take off years of baked on stain from an old aluminum dutch oven. I had to scrub a little and didn't remove everything, but, like I said YEARS of baked on stuff. I just thought that the sprayer was not that great, that is the reason for the 4 stars.
