I thought that she would not have patients to sit and play but she liked pictures and listening to the story that we were putting together as we drew dominos. I think this would make a great gift for a kid of school age. I enjoyed using this game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son, age 3.5, is an avid storyteller with a vivid imagination. He had a fun time playing with the Storytelling Dominoes and making up different scenarios for the characters with the story elements provided. We made up several different stories during our play session. Because he is very creative and enjoys telling and making up stories, I did find that he got a bit frustrated by the limitations of the story elements provided. I think this product could be improved with a create-your-own tile option—especially if it was reusable and could be changed again and again. I do also think that this would be an excellent tool to use at home or in the classroom with children who struggle with creativity and storytelling or for whom storytelling does not come to as naturally. Thank you to Learning Resources and BzzAgent for sending us this free sample and letting us try out this product!

He saw tiles of things he didn't recognize that led to exploring new topics and telling new stories. For a kid who rarely sits long enough to get through a children's book, he LOVED these tiles! I will be using these for a long time!

I love the concept of building imaginative stories with the pieces, but the small size makes them better suited for older toddlers or when closely supervised. The images are colorful and engaging, and it's a great way to encourage language development in a playful way. I look forward to using this more as my child grows!

It definitely brought his imagination to life. We enjoyed the unconventional tales and it was good family time. The tiles are double sided and easy to store and travel friendly too. A great learning toy for young minds.

My younger child has been working on her writing skills and keeping a journal to practice making up stories with different elements of a story like characters, events, feelings etc. These dominoes are perfect way to help her get started and I love that it is color coded so she knows she needs to have at least one color for each story. It is helping her to be creative and also building her vocabulary and spelling. The dominoes are double sided and I love that it comes in a storage bucket for easy clean up.
