Ember Charging Coaster 2 Black: Stainless Steel & Plastic Cup Warmer, Spot Clean, 4.44" Coaster

It is fine. It was to replace an ember unit recently purchased in Nov. 2025 and the pins in coaster were already too low to make a charge. It is the third coaster I have needed to replace. Did not have original receipt for credit or exchange. If this happens again, this will be my last ember.

I'll go along with the 5-star default with the understanding that I have had the coaster for only a couple of weeks. This is relevant because the original coaster that came with the mug broke (one of the pins caved in) withing the first two months or so. In all fairness, it was replaced promptly at no cost. Since you "opened the door," I'll take the opportunity to express my opinion of the mug itself. The mug actually works impeccably well (5-star performance). However, the battery leaves much to be desired. I have had the mug for over a year. The battery's charge began to dwindle almost immediately (within three months from purchase). If I take it off the coaster, it discharges in less than 15 minutes. Early on, I was offered a "fix" (a multi-step process to get it to "reset"). It did not work. That is why a bought a second charging coaster. I can move from one of my two favorite coffee drinking spots to the other and always have the mug on a charger. That notwithstanding, the mug's ability to keep my coffee at the desired temperature is outstanding. If they solved the battery issue, my assessment of the mug would rise to "superb. "

You can get a replacement coaster for half the price with Ember. Also, they don’t last long as was mentioned in other comments. One of the pins always ends up being depressed, which results in no or slow charging of the mug. Agreed that for the price for these things I shouldn’t have to replace them once a year.

If the original charger coaster wasn’t broken when I received it I wouldn’t have had to BUY another one!!!

It’s really hard to give it 5 stars because while the cup is really nice they don’t last long. The coasters last even shorter. For the price the whole package should work longer than it does. This is my second cup and my 4th coaster. The cup was used 1 time a day almost every day that’s how much I like it, I just expected it to last longer than it did for the price.

Did not fix the problem and your cost for return shipping makes it barely worth it to return. Big disappointment.

I love ember mugs. I have 3 of them. However I am sick of replacing the coasters. It is getting expensive. I wish they were built a little better.

The charging coasters are great, but they break often. The connector pins are brittle, and I've had to buy more than one replacement coaster.

Wish you would produce a charging saucer NOT guaranteed to fail like the last five with the faulty non moisture proof charging pins that inevitably fail!

Since the charging station seems to be an achilles heel, I'm delighted to receive 2 coasters for the price of 1 previously.

I love the mug but coaster seems designed to fail. After 3 of them I figured out to use tweezers to pull the recessed pin out, turn the mug upside down, place coaster on it and weigh it down with stoneware coaster. Voila! The mug is charging.

Excited to have a new charging coaster that matches the rest of my desk hardware.
