As many others have experienced, I received a product that was damaged upon arrival. There were scratches and dings on the top and side of the table, as well as the underside. It looked like it had been damaged in packaging or production, not shipping, as the box was fine. After calling Target and the shipping company and being on what seemed like endless hours of customer service phone calls, I got the table returned, but there was a miscommunication as I waited for a new one to arrive. I told them I wanted to exchange, but they returned and refunded the order and did not tell me that was the policy with large items. After more customer service calls, I got a new table ordered and they price matched the sale price from when I originally bought the item.
Shipping seemed quicker the second time around, and while this box showed signs of tearing and footprints on the box, the table inside was unharmed. I almost didn't reorder this table because of all the negative experiences others had, the hassle of boxing it back up to be picked up, and the irritation of all the customer service calls I had to endure. However, I'm glad I reordered as the new table is in good condition with no scratches or marks, was super easy to put together, and looks amazing! I already had the matching coffee table and side table from a year ago, so I am excited to have finished the set and get great joy from everything matching (I have an open layout, so it is all one big room). The table will easily fit 6, which is the upgrade I wanted from the smaller table I had, and I can't wait to have people over to use it. It is lovely and Target did a good job getting the issue resolved, even though it took some work on my end. Jay, in customer service, was so friendly and awesome!
