A: Because these sheets are made from microfiber, they aren’t measured by traditional thread count like cotton sheets. Instead, they use GSM to indicate fabric density. The Empyrean Extra Deep Microfiber Sheets are 110 GSM, which is roughly comparable in softness and quality to about a 2000 thread count cotton sheet.

Q: Is actual top of the sheet 60 x 80 & not 59.5 x 79.5? I have a topper that can add 1/2 inch to the width and length of the bed. Some stretch to fit over the bed is a need.

I hope these sheets wear better than they smelled. Very very very stinky when I opened the package; they had to be washed right away to get the dead animal smell out. I have never had that experience with a brand new package of sheets before. Hopefully there is not an issue with the fabric becoming smelly while in the linen closet.
