A: I, too, noticed that there were no instructions included to inform one how to utilize the 7 modes that the packaging claims the flashlight has. I only happened to learn how to access the 7 modes because I remembered a line from the product video on the webpage of the site from which I bought the flashlight: "featuring one press digital focus". Recalling this, I held down the power button, and, voilà! I discovered that while the button is depressed, the beam adjusts by dimming and brightening its three bulbs. Two of the bulbs dim and brighten together at the same time, and the other acts independently of those two. Hold the button down and experiment to find what you like best.

Q: How long does it take to fully charge before first use? After about 24 hours of charging the solid red light turned to a flashing red light, but I thought it's supposed to turn green?

Uses Micro USB for charging in 2026, save your money
Uses an ancient and decrepit Micro USB port for charging and therefore is very slow to charge. I will be returning mine shortly.

It lasted two and a half years and then one day it just died. While it worked it was great. Wasn't expecting it to just stop working alltogether though.

It's definitely not a bad flashlight. It's durable, it's got an alright battery life, it's super bright, insanely bright actually, and I feel like it reaches a decent distance.

On / Off button broke and doesn't turn off
I bought this flashlight over a year ago for emergency purposes, so I don't use it that often. I recently recharged it and the on / off button is broken and does not turn off. It's relatively sturdy, other than that, but seems like the button was not well thought through, tested or they just cheaped out. I'd prefer to pay extra money for something of quality rather than something that ends up in a landfill, super wasteful, and will probably avoid Energizer products in the future.

I love that this is small enough to fit in the “junk drawer “ for emergencies and small enough to fit in my pocket to take with me on walks. The light power is powerful and shines amazing light. It’s pretty cool to not need batteries as well. Just a simple charge through a USB is all you need. The fact that it fits in my Athleta leggings pocket and I’m able to zip the pocket is amazing!
