This is a nice, bright and lightweight lantern. I bought it for my Mother for the occasional power outage. She’s really likes it. It only takes 4 batteries so not as heavy as her old one. It lights up a medium room nicely on the highest setting. I’m going to get a couple too. The price is right!

We had to get a new lantern and we usually get Coleman lanterns for car camping. I remembered we had an energizer headlamp that I was surprised it has lasted longer than my Petzl (very good brand) so I went for it and got this instead. We love it. It's brighter than the Coleman at the same price with a boasted longer battery life. It has a few nice settings including 600 lumen and a nice gentle orangey light. It has gotten rained on and kicked around a bit and it's still going. It also has a slim shape which has been really handy for packing purposes. The 1200 lumens is BRIGHT so prepare your eyeballs. We don't charge off of multi purpose gear but it's nice to have a usb port on it. WELL SPENT $25

We strung it up before the sun went down and it lasted well into the night for our full 3 day trip. Kept our site incredibly visible and was literally the easiest thing to pack/carry with us. Easy to take with you when leaving the site for a hike too just in case. This is a new essential on the packing list when I’m camping but I can think of plenty of other good uses. Highly highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even when still in the packaging, (I tested it this way just to see how it would work even with some form of shadow effect), it was still bright enough to light up entire rooms in my home with no problem at all! Was almost just as effective as the recessed lighting in my 10 foot ceiling room. Actually took it out of the packaging soon afterwards, and it came in handy in a pinch when a tropical storm came through and cut out the power. Luckily, it was 5 AM so my phone was already charged, but it is good to know I would have a way to charge it by using the USB port, rather than having to have a separate battery bank. The warm light nightlight is a nice effect as well, but does not provide much actual light at all if you needed it to. I don’t go camping much, but if I did, I probably wouldn’t have a screwdriver available and certainly not one large enough to be able to undo the screws on the bottom of this, so if I needed to change the batteries while out camping, that may be a difficult problem. I did try to use some scissors and a knife to try to open the screws since I would typically have these when camping, but they were too small and would easily strip the screw. A screwdriver, unless you have a larger one, could even strip the screw. Honestly, my rock chisel worked best.
