Ergobaby Metro3 All-in-One Compact Stroller

I bought this for my daughter, who used it yesterday for the first time with my grandson. POSITIVES: She loves how light it is and how easy it is to open/close. All the vents are amazing to ensure air flow. POTENTIAL IMPROVEMENTS: Would be great if the handle bar could be moved back and forth so that you can have the baby facing forward or facing you while moving. This is a BIG ISSUE for her as he's still small and should be facing his mommy while in the stroller. This issue may make her return it. I didn't realize that when I ordered it. Also, she wishes the storage bin was larger; makes it difficult to place her baby bag (a back pack) in the bin; she had to carry it the whole time while at the park. She also said that because my grandson is below 20 pounds, it's easy to "pop a wheelie," if you're not careful. Otherwise loves it. I ordered a couple more accessories so am hoping she decides to keep it!

This is honestly the nicest compact stroller I have ever had! I just wish there was an attachment I could buy to hold my drink while we walk

We originally bought this to use as a travel stroller when flying, but it’s quickly become our out and about stroller because it is lightweight and my 5 month old loves it. It’s very sturdy, and we love the gigantic canopy and the ability to lay the seat flat so she can nap. Sometimes the mechanism for dropping the seat can stick, but my kiddo doesn’t seem to care at all. Highly recommend!

As far as folding, carrying and pushing this stroller is amazing. It pushes amazingly even compared to my very expensive stroller. It folds nicely and is the handle is great for carrying. The downfall is it is awful to unfold!! It definitely takes me two hands and a leg to unfold(yes I’m doing it right). The buttons to push are so hard and the long one never engages correctly. If you get past that it’s a great stroller.

It's a nice stroller, but it's not easy to use. It takes two hands to open and collapse down. The buttons stick and the handle is so wide that I can't do both mechanisms with one hand. Materials are nice, it's just not as easy to use as advertised.

The stroller is great however the attachments are not compatible with the Chico car seat which was already purchased based on the previous attachment.

It’s been a game changer with my desire to go anywhere with my big baby in tow! My little one is at the age where she wants to sit up and see the world and has enjoyed that and napping in this wonder. It’s easy to maneuver, lightweight and compact. It gives so much extra space in my trunk which is another bonus! Me and baby found the straps comfortable and easy to adjust/ clean. I also like the pulley system for the recline on the seat which makes it easy to adjust her position or lay her down for a nap while out and about. Lastly, I enjoyed the extra canopy for sun protection! It came in handy recently when we went to the airshow she was constantly shaded thanks to this. Overall I recommend this, my only drawback which doesn’t count for much is the break gear gets a bit sticky when unlocking it from time to time. 100 stars from me and baby!

My daughter is an average almost three year old who tends to look a tad too big and cramped in travel strollers and doesn’t take to them well. This lightweight stroller is easy to pick up and carry in a compact form. It folds to a small size that allows minimal tetris in the trunk of the car. The adjustable handlebar height allowed me to push babe around with only one hand. My favorite feature is the extended canopy length, which I have not fully seen with other mid-level strollers. The canopy size is perfect for extra sunny days to shield babe but still allow them to see out. Another huge win is the recline feature with a strap. It is one of the easiest strollers I’ve ever used and so lightweight. It takes up very little room in my trunk and garage and is a comfortable ride for my baby. The stroller came in a compact box and was assembled and ready to go. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to fold and unfold the stroller, but once you understand the buttons it can be done with one hand. There is a convenient carrying handle and it can be lifted and carried with one hand. The shade extends to give baby extra coverage on sunny days and it maneuvers like a dream. At a crowded zoo, it worked through groups of people and kept a narrow profile for our journey. In walks around the neighborhood, my son can recline or sit up comfortably and I can store everything we need in the basket below. We are traveling via airline in a few months, and this will be the stroller we take on our trip because of its compact storage, whether we check it or store it overhead. I love the cushion of the straps and how secure they keep my baby. I would recommend this stroller to anyone who is on the go and taking a stroller along because of its slim storage profile, comfortable ride and maneuverability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After struggling for over a year with a travel stroller that folded in 6 steps( when it went smoothly), I was pleasantly surprised to receive a notification from Stellar Mom about a new stroller coming our way to try, and boy, did they deliver! Unboxing the Metro 3 was simple as the stroller comes assembled, and my 21 month old baby climbed right in, using the front bumper bar that safely supports his 31 lbs. while locked without me having to be worried about tipping. as soon as he sat down he said "cozy" which i think sums up his review of the stroller, and the comfort of the extra padded seat! We took it on a walk around the block straight out of the box and I found it to be an easy push, with a handle that came up high enough to support my back from slouching. I loved the ability to lay my little guy down and sit him right back up with one smooth pull and clip. The added support for the baby's feet is another benefit over my previous stroller that we appreciate as well, it supports my baby's larger frame even with its compact size. We have since taken the stroller to the mall, the park and on numerous evening walks, all which have been enhanced by the smooth ride, easy one hand fold and extendable visor that keeps the sun out. the magnetic closures for the "peek flaps" are a super perk, and the discreet pocket in the back is the perfect size for a spare diaper and tissues. The strollers compact size has it nestling perfectly behind my couch, a supper perk for my small apartment size. I could see this being great for road trips as well, since it won't take up too much car room. One thing that i find inconvenient about the metro 3, is that the straps that secure baby must be interlocked, and that they do not hold well together. It takes just a moment too long to snap my baby in, which can be a struggle. Overall this stroller has been a complete upgrade and is definitely something I would recommend to friends.

At first glance, the stroller looks great. It looks high quality and the Soft Olive color is beautiful. The stroller has been great to grab on the go. It takes up way less space in my house than other larger strollers and has a small footprint. As a city dweller, I really appreciate being able to have a compact option that fits in small grocery aisles. Despite its smaller nature, I don't feel like the stroller compromises on what is important. I am still able to fit my diaper bag and other items, like a water bottle, blanket, and jacket, in the stroller. The one hand fold is amazing. When I took my toddler to the library, I was able to hold her hand on the street while folding it with the other. Then due to the small size, I could tuck it away in a corner and not take up too much space in the busy library. The best part about the stroller though are the built-in comfort features. We have had several strollers, and I think this one seems like the most comfortable by far. The padding is very lush and soft. My toddler said she loved it. The flat recline is great for on the go naps. It lays more flat than any other compact stroller I've seen. And the sunshade can extend extremely low - perfect for blocking the sun on those naps! We did not have the opportunity to use the newborn nest as my kids are older - but I love this feature and I wish I would have gotten the stroller sooner. My only drawback for this stroller is that my toddler, who is 3, seems to be slightly too large to fit in it comfortably. She loved the stroller at first. She said it was very comfy and soft and her eyes were perfectly blocked from the sun. We recently took it on an hour long walk, but near the end, she kept complaining that she was "sliding down" the seat because it is naturally slightly reclined. She kept wanting to sit up more straight but it was not an option with the build of the seat. However, my 8 month old baby fits in the stroller perfectly, with a lot more room to grow. He has been very happy for the entirety of the walks and I believe the recline is perfect for his age range.

In the car, the stroller would take way too much space; and when traveling, we would have to disassemble the stroller at the gate in order to put it in a protective case to avoid any damage. At first, we made it work, but after a while, it was extremely inconvenient and we knew we had to find better options. Something we really liked about our stroller is the all terrain wheels and so when we tested out multiple travel-friendly strollers, we were turned off by how flimsy it felt and how it was especially difficult to drive over bumps and uneven pavement. However, with the Ergobaby Metro 3 Stroller, it not only weighs half the amount of our regular stroller, but it can be folded and unfolded with one hand; is very compact and perfect for travel (doesn’t need to be checked in at the gate as it can fit in the overhead bin of the airplane); can be driven with one hand; drives smoothly over bumps and uneven pavement; has a comfortable padded seat that reclines very well and a canopy with mesh. We are constantly on the move with kids and so it’s essential to be able to multi task especially when I’m alone with both kids. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I have 4 children, so I’ve tried many strollers. Since we travel overseas yearly, I have been trying out quite a few compact strollers. I was skeptical about the Ergobaby Metro 3 when it arrived in the package, but it definitely proved me wrong. Right away, pulling it out of the box fully assembled was a huge win! No fussing with wheels and pads, etc. It was folded into a nice, neat cube and I could definitely see it going in an overhead bin (maybe on an international flight since today’s domestic airlines tend to put all strollers under the cabin). The stroller feels very high end, with the metal frame. I thought the material would make it heavy, but it was very easy to lift in one hand, even with my 25-lb.-baby on my hip! At first my I thought the bar on the back would hinder the amount of storage space but my backpack-style diaper bag slid right in. When we had other bags, I used the storage through the front with no problem! The leg rest adjusts easily so it’s nice to be able to tuck stuff through the front. The seat padding is so nice and cushioned, which a baby and a toddler will benefit from. No more wimpy umbrella stroller frame poking through thin fabric! I received the soft olive color, which is beautiful. It’s very gender-neutral and so much chic-er than a black or gray. And it’s not as intimidating as a cream/beige! I loved the fact that the peekaboo window flap on the canopy closed with magnets instead of Velcro. It feels like a nice upgrade and looks cleaner. Plus it just works! It was great to have the extra piece to extend the canopy on a sunny walk and I think it’d be great for a napping baby to give more coverage. My baby is 15 months so I don’t need the bassinet feature much but it did come in handy when he fell asleep outside to be able to enclose his feet/legs. What I appreciated is that it’s intuitive, and folding everything back in was not awkward at all. We took this out on walks in the neighborhood, in the park over uneven terrain and while shopping in stores. What a smooth ride! The wheels are narrow set, so they didn’t get hooked on clothing racks. But what I noticed is that my long stride didn’t end up hitting the stroller bar like I do on some of my other strollers. Plus the adjustable handle helped to relieve wrist strain that I usually get on long walks! Oh, how can I forget the best part: the one hand fold! And it actually stands up after being folded! I had a model that did not and it was such a nuisance! Having the handlebar remain on top when folded makes it that much easier to open it up or load it into the car. I was able to switch between seating my 15-month-old and my 4-year-old with very little adjustment. Both seemed very comfortable as well. I like knowing that one stroller can be used for multiple kids or for more than a short period of their lives. One thing I noticed is that it does not come with a cup holder or a child bar/snack tray. I did see accessories available on the website but I thought they’d be included at this price point. I do realize that those items would make the stroller wider and add more bulk, which would be a hindrance if you were just looking for a travel-friendly compact stroller. So it’s not really a deal-breaker to me. I did see that you can add car seat adapters which makes this a real birth to age 4+ stroller. All in all, I think this is the stroller I’ll continue to choose on outings since I can use it for both of my little ones. I have just been keeping it in the trunk because it doesn’t take up as much space as my car seat carrier frame and I know that I’ll be ready for any surprise outings. I was so excited when I saw how compact it truly is! It takes up about the same amount of space in my car as a small umbrella stroller (different shape of course). The comfort that the seat provides is phenomenal! Two of my children (20 pounds and 45 pounds) fit in it so comfortably. The carrying handle on the stroller and the fact that it folds up so small makes it very easy to lift in and out of my vehicle. Not to mention the fact that I can fold it up and lift it with one hand while I carry my child with the other hand. This Ergobaby Metro 3 Stroller has worked out perfectly for walks in the neighborhood, shopping excursions and trips to the zoo. The wheels maneuver seamlessly and the storage basket has plenty of room for all of the stuff that I always want to have on hand when we are out. The bassinet mode unfolds quickly and can be tucked away just as fast. Another great feature is the full recline that the seat offers. My youngest has even fallen asleep in it at a time when on-the-go naps are hard to come by. The sunshade extended far enough that the sun was out of my youngest child’s eyes and I love the magnetic “peekaboo” mesh window on the shade. It provided ventilation and peace of mind when I needed to check on my child without stopping and walking to the front of the stroller. Overall, this is the best and most versatile stroller that I have ever used. I do wish the seat could be set up in a much straighter sitting position and that the wheels were all-terrain, but with all of the other features that it offers it works perfectly for my family. I highly recommend this stroller to anyone in the market for a single, compact and extremely versatile stroller.

My almost 8 year old (he's 40lbs) fit with a ton of room to spare. The seat size is by far the best feature it is so tall for a compact stroller. He fits better in this seat than he does in most full size strollers I almost forgot I was using a travel. The full recline is great as well as the extended canopy. I could see myself using this for a while more. Folded it fits behind the driver seat of my Honda Pilot which is a huge bonus. The added leather handle bar with adjustment is a great new feature. I wish I had this when my kids were babies so I could take advantage of the nest feature. Overall this is a definite 5 star stroller. Fold and open is a bit finacky at first but I was able to get the hand of it after a few times. The storage basket is a nice size for such a compact stroller. I will definitely be recommending this to all the new moms!!!
