This fits my needs and budget exactly!!! Love it. I had my other escort detector for 15 years and my son in law is now using it because it still works great.

I have been using Escort Radars since 1984 and they have been spot on for detection and not needing repairs. My newest edition has much needed updates but my only beef is, I'm not particularly fond of the ON/OFF button placement. I sit below it so I have to feel for it and keep hitting the MARK THIS LOCATION button. On another note, the volume goes way down after an initial close detection forcing me to look at the meter when I need to look at the road. I understand why you did this but I've already been stopped once in my first full week of ownership and I haven't been stopped in 20 years. Maybe a compromise is due here.

This detector is by far the best I’ve owned in 15 years. The range of detection and settings on the system is amazing. All the features it offers and are customizable to your likings. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I got a ticket the first week using the escort the laser was not picked up with the unit what am i doing wrong please advise

The display is very difficult to see in the day time. I tried all the colors, they are all very dim. Not bright enough! Probably will returning it.

I like it much better than my older Escort. This one gives one beep, then goes into the lower sound mode. I am used to keeping an eye on the meter to tell me how far away the radar is. Love the new magnet mounting system. I had to call tech support due to not understanding something in the owners manual. Top notch service.

Well I have had this unit for over 2 months now. Got an Escort due to a previous purchase of a base model ESCORT S55 unit I got on a whim, what a fantastic little detector that unit was and still is, it just goes off a lot due to the vehicle anti collision systems now in widespread use so it a bit annoying but an incredibly sensitive unit. Anyway I got this one as a more modern upgrade to my S55. The unit is very sensitive, maybe 50 to 100 yards more sensitive than the S55. Its nicely designed and I love the new magnetic mount. I'm still getting used to its "personality" but it has one little quirk that spooks me a bit and if your thinking about buying one of these units you might want to consider it. I seems to have a Very "narrow" forward facing detection window. as I stated its a little more sensitive than the S55 but my S55 has a way broader detection range (angle) if I face away from a pulsing radar more than 10 to 15 degrees the detector will go silent and not "see the signal" This never happens with the S55 I can turn more than 70 degrees away from a radar and it still detect it. This bothers me a bit. As another example this morning a state trooper was driving southbound on a 4 lane while I was driving north. The detector starting bleeping when he was about 3/4 of a mile away and kept going off till the strength bar got to 3 bars then as he got closer it went silent, then a few moments later went off with full bars and alert sounds, Had I been speeding at that point I would have been within his detection range. This has happened may times, I pick up a weak radar signal at a distance, the strength bar gets to 3 or 4 then is goes silent only to alert a few moments later with full bars and tones. My s55 never did this signal strength steadily grew and alarm tones steadily quickened their pace. Having revisited the Escort website after my time using the unit and more closely looking at the side by side comparisons of the different models. Escort does make it very clear that this unit does not provide 360 degree protection like the other detectors they sell. I saw that before I bought the unit but I kind of figured it would detect at least as good as my Old S55 and I was good with than. However that is not the case. I think escort offered a 30 "trial" of the unit when I bought it and now I wish I had returned it an gotten one of the other models, but that's on me as I kept thinking I just needed to get used to the unit a little more. To sum it up this is a good quality unit and may mine might be a little "buggy" compare to others of the same model but its narrow detection angle has me a little uncomfortable with the unit. These units a very expensive and it hard to justify spending 500-800 bucks on the other models verses the 300 for this one but if you want my advise buy one of the other units and I think you will be happier.

It's a great device that does everything you all said it would do.
