the worst escort detector I have had in 10 years. Screams at you all day long. DO NOT BUY THIS. Passport has tried to make this so sensitive and they succeeded in the worst escort detector ever. Oh yes I sent it BACK and tried the MK11. Even worst then Max 4. What The ???? Passport?

Great tech, but too quiet.
Great upgrade for my ancient previous detector. Love the new tech and phone connectivity. My only complaint is that the max volume level for the alerts is far too quiet, as noted by many others.

Best radar detector for the $
Best radar detector for the money. Can detect a radar gun from almost 2 miles away. The precision voltmeter is a nice feature since it allows me to monitor alternator performance in my older vehicles. The only feature that I miss from my Redline 360 is the signal direction indication. But that feature alone is not worth an extra $300.

I can not get the sound to work loud enough to hear. Disappointed for the amount I paid. 382 including tax..This radar detector is not worth this price.

Too quiet.
Seems to be effective, but the alarm is. Or loud enough. Convertible, driving rapidly, can be noisy. The wind noise absolutely drowns out the alarm sound. Have the alarm interrupt Apple CarPlay. Something. On a sunny day the lights are not enough warning. But far fewer “falses” than my Max3. So, good with bad.

Descent Radar
Has good range detection. Connectors to your phone pretty quickly. The only issue I have is for some reason GPS signal gets lost from time to time in an open field environment. It’s on the latest firmware.

Bought it , and after test it was upset:( so the radar detector do not work properly, only make alerts when drive near stores like Dolar General or other …already asked support team about help but not have response yet….

Don't trust it
I have been using Escort Radar Detectors for at least 40 years, last one was a 8500 X50, when it died I went to your website and purchased the latest MAX4, did not look up any reviews. I updated the firmware, put it in my vehicle and it did not detect anything. I rebooted it and now it reads radar. But I am having trouble trusting it. I think it has too many filters. I have seen reviews on YouTube and they say the same thing. I downloaded the APP and I see you can tweak a lot of parameters, I don't want to have to resort to that in order to read radar . Will use it on a trip to Florida to see if it really works
