The pillow gets a little lumpy but it’s still pretty comfortable… you can’t wash it, only the outer layer. The fabric on the actual pillow itself is not crisp, but is more soft and fragile. But the outer linen is sturdy.

I love the softness of the linen fabric. The plushness of the pillow insert makes resting against this pillow so comfortable. The teal color is very neutral and not too overbearing. I felt like I was taking a risk getting a colored cover and I’m very happy I chose this one! I’ve washed the linen covers a few times already. I recommend stretching the covers to size and shape after washing. And drying on low for a short time to take out most of the moisture. Restretching size and shape again and then letting them air dry the rest of the way.

These inserts feel so high end and it’s a beautiful, well- made pillow. I purchased the “warm brown” color and unfortunately it was a little too carmel-colored for my decor (see pic of the pillow next to a taupe blanket). I ended up returning.
