Remember doing this as a kid? Perhaps with a stick? Broom? The cardboard tube within wrapping paper? We do! And it was a fun, well, until you broke Grandma's urn or your little brother required several stitches that would eventually become a funny story he tells at high school parties. This game takes all of that childhood dramedy and turns it into a structured game. Well, about as structured as such a game can be. These fun modifiers come into play with each sword duel and you'll find them in a varying degree of intensity. Overall a really fun party game! You'll need lots of room, or some level of self-control and spatial awareness. We play outside, but it could be ok to play in a large room. Away from Granny's curio cabinet. Just remember it is a game, and not the Game of Thrones. If you love very physical, and silly games that make adults do things that they otherwise would not in public, then grab this!
This Game Made Me Want To Stab My Friends

We had a group of 4 friends play this game after dinner. The booklet made the setup, rules, and win condition clear from the get-go.After a single round, we fully understood the appeal. Like a session of Tag, playing the game evoked in each of us a childlike necessity to dodge, duck, dip, and dive, anything to get out of the way of each other's swords.New rules from random cards, common knowledge of your opponents' hands, and the encouraged spoken-aloud strategizing all make the gameplay incredibly variable from round to round and game to game. We look forward to playing this game again with a larger group.
An absolute blast to play!

Exploding Kittens is back again with an incredibly interactive, raucous, and chaotic party game. It’s a bit reminiscent of the Throw-Throw series, but it feels much more controlled and streamlined. It’s as fun to watch your friends duke it out as it is to play yourself. If you liked the Throw-Throw series, this is a fantastic addition to that genre of party games.

I personally didn't play this but gave it to some cousins with younger kids and they had a blast playing the game! They loved having the physical aspect of it but it was also a great introduction to card games for them. The idea for the game is super fun and I love seeing all the unique ideas that EK has!
Permission to hit others......yes please.

A fun out of the box game that allows you to go after your family members and friends and maybe get that sweet revenge you secretly always craved. This games put Grandma against grandkids, parents against kids, and sibling against sibling in a laugh out loud dual that will keep you playing for hours.
Hilarious and fun

We decided that you can only truly know how awesome a game is once you’ve played it with a bunch of different people, a bunch of different times. So, our Fourth of July was the perfect opportunity to pull out the fake swords and get to dueling! We had about 20 people all together and I don’t think a single person wasn’t laughing so hard that they were crying at some point. Sprinkle on a little Throw Throw Burrito (giant inflatable version OBVIOUSLY) and you have a great time and a lovely outlet for any aggression you build up after spending that much time with that many family members! Another AMAZING and HILARIOUS game to add to our giant collection.P.S. The fake swords are also perfect for out-of-game battles that must be dealt with. Who needs rock, paper, scissors, right?
Cards and dueling, what could possibly go wrong?

In the vein of EK’s Throw-Throw games emerges a new challenge. A card game with frequent foam sword fights. The kids love it and play it with their friends when they visit. Great job, EK, you’ve done it again.
Fun with all ages

Another great EK game with action similar not their Throw Throw Burrito line. Fun and laughter with all playing. Competition can get fierce.

Loved the interactive and engaging nature. All the fun of a card game with the ADHD delight in scurrying around. Sanctioned tomfoolery.

Let's Hit Each Other With Fake Swords is a super fun board game where you get to play as medieval warriors wielding foam swords. It's really easy to get the hang of and perfect for when you want to have a great time with friends or family. It's not super strategic, but it's all about having fun and getting active. The artwork is colorful and it's packed with laughs, making it a fantastic choice for anyone who loves games that are silly and lively. It's definitely found a place on my game shelf for those upbeat game nights!

As a lover of Throw Throw Burrito I can't help but compare the two. In Swords I really like the way cards are pointed at and chosen which leads to fights over just speed making sets in Burrito. It creates more impact on the outcome of the game as you can get pelted by Burritos and still win if you made enough sets. The pointing and the way the fight boss can create fun moments is wonderful. The Sword fights are very fun but we do tend to prefer just throwing Burritos (or avocados) slightly more. I think sometimes our shorter player didn't need a advantage but perhaps a house rule can fix on replays. Would love a Mashup between Burritos and swords.
Silly swordfighting fun -- but why no 2 player mode?

Played this game the other night and it truly is a wacky, fun swordfighting game (which I didn't realize how much I needed in my life). We had a lot of laughs and antics with our many duels, and the card distribution has a nice strategy element to it as well. Would be 5 stars but I wish there was a 2 player variant, as my wife and I often play games just the two of us (our daughter is only 3 months old and is just picking up objects now so she might be a bit young for the game, haha)

Let's Hit Each Other With Fake Swords is an easy game to learn, and frustratingly fun to play. It will have you aching from laughter and fake sword wounds. Friends will become foes, and allegiances will be tested. Peace was never an option.

Lot of fun. Nieces loved it and asked if they could have my copy after a few playthroughs. Lots of laughter and easy to pick up. Dad was only one who wasn't a big fan, but he's not big on party games anyways. He still had fun playing it.

This game is great! It takes about 5 minutes to learn and about 10 minutes per game with 3 people. My daughter is 8 and thought it was lots of fun. I never have had to bow, give compliments, and stab someone at the same time until now. This game brings the laughs and requires some strategy. Recommended!
This game is RIDICULOUS fun!!!!!
