Book Synopsis

But just below the surface, the tectonic plates of their lives are in continual motion, shifting and creating unstable moments that threaten their "stable" existence. Can Gunter forgive himself, as he stood idly by watching his wife die, and can Anya move beyond the guilt of her own birth? Is it possible to cross the divide that separates a father from his daughter and a daughter from her father? Is it possible that crossing a mountain on horseback can bring the two of them face to face with themselves, and then with each other?
