The other reviews must be paid for because this book is not good. Repetitive sentences like the author needs word count or something with FMC stating what she needs to do and her end goal. No character growth in anyone. Buy it for the cover but the storyline isn’t good. The writing is choppy.

this book is top notch on the curb appeal. It's definitely a looker and gonna be on a shelf with spotlight. can't wait to start reading it.

Romantasy infused with Norse mythology. If you follow the Marvel universe the names will be familiar-Thor, Odin, Loki, and Frost Giants- but this isn't Marvel. Set in the modern world the Giants are sleeping and the gods are awakening. Odin basically runs a crime syndicate, Thor is dead, Loki is a no show, and Mjolnir has been stolen. The story centers on Rey (Thor's sister) who has been raised as a weapon to gain vengeance for her brother and to return the hammer to Odin. Now on her 18th birthday she is to attend Endir College; a university run by the enemies who have vowed vengeance against Odin (and therefore Rey). At the center is Aric, a sleeping giant, who holds the key with his upcoming awakening. Aric and Rey have a brief shared past which marked them both and left emotional scars. A cat and mouse game ensues where getting close to your enemy can end this silent war or break your heart. And it seems, only one may survive. The banter in this book is fun and Reeve, Aric's narcissistic, younger brother, is non-stop comic relief (unless he's threatening to kill you!). Aric and Rey are definitely enemies to lovers and their struggle to deny each other is real. Everyone is warning Rey off Aric and Reeve keeps reminding Aric that Rey is the enemy. But when Rey starts sleepwalking to Aric's bed, a hidden alliance soon follows. Both Aric and Rey know that waking his giant and finding the hammer might just end in the destruction of the world, but can they betray their families and heritage? There are definitely twists in the end, I didn't see coming and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next.

Even though the wait for this book was long it was worth it. I devoured the book and it gave me a healthy disrespect for my next work day. I really enjoyed the Norse mythology aspect of it. I’ve read a lot of romantasy and most that deal with mythology are Greek/Roman which is great but it was so much fun to learn about a new mythology in this world of warring families and dark academia. Additionally, if you love a good enemies to lovers story this is one for you. Rey and Aric are sworn enemies only to realize the enemy of my enemy is my friend and what they do about it will leave you turning that page. Finally, while this book isn’t super spicy it does have the pivotal scenes where the enemies fall into the lovers category in such a great way. I hope you give this book the chance it deserves.

Cover is GORGEOUS even prettier under the dust jacket! I know these are limited so i had to go grab one. Book Is so good totally worth the wait
