Looks as expected. I really
Looks as expected. I really like how the stairs don’t stick out very far, so it’s not a trip hazard. My son loves it, so that’s a plus. Some prices came in warped, with a wicked curve, but after assembly the pieces lined up as they should have. Over all the bed is good quality for what we paid. I would recommend this loft bed for smaller/ younger kids. The underneath area is a great fort for multiple kids! I’m very happy with my purchase.

The Perfect Bed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great bed for our five year old - he LOVES that he can play underneath it & mom loves it even more since the mess is hidden! A mom win for sure! It's such nice quality wood and the height is perfect for an active five year old.

You get what you pay for, and that's a good thing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're very happy with this bed. The fact that is is almost entirely hardwood aside from the back of the bookcase is just awesome given the price. Assembly was simple, and I think they made great decisions on what to do at the factory versus what to leave to the buyer to do. They would probably advise against using power tools, but I used a drill with a clutch at the lowest setting and it worked great. The instructions were a little unclear at a couple spots, but it was not hard to figure out; it ain't rocket surgery. I love the rolled slats that came with it, but I did have to add more. The mattress we're using requires less than 5" between the slats, and this slat roll spacing was closer to 8" Oh, yeah, and it looks great, too. Some of the reviews commented about the "rough" finish - it does not have a high-gloss polyurethane finish, so the surface is not smooth like glass. It feels like...well, wood. It is perfectly sanded and sealed. It's a deliberate look, not a mistake. I wish we'd discovered Max and Lily back when we bought our first kid's furniture. This was for our last kid and his siblings are jealous.

Looks fine after spending 6+
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks fine after spending 6+ hours assembling the gazillion little pieces that came in several boxes. Some panels could have been preassembled and shipped in larger packages! We've done plenty of furniture assembly including bunk beds but this was pretty ridiculous. It's not a one-person job due to all the balancing and alignment needed throughout and still it took us hours. The instructions were also often confusing. The screws were all painted with a thin layer of paint that chipped off as soon as you tried to screw things in. The kid loves it but we'd never try this again.

Delivered at the start of
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delivered at the start of September. Got about 5 steps in only to find a major part had been drilled incorrectly making the rest of the build impossible to continue. Contacted them for a replacement part which I'm still waiting on. Daughter's bedroom rendered useless during the whole process.
