As for the answer to your question, yes you can set both ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 to go off at two separate times. In terms of the clock's alarm volume, we have had some customers who felt that the beeping tone was loud and just right. However, I am so sorry that this model was not able to meet your expectations. Alarm, we do have some other clock models that do offer louder beeping tones that you might be interested in. These model number are #70043, #70045 and #70044A. Moreover, I also have receive some very positive reviews about the tone of these clocks personally and I wanted to share these models with you if you would be interested. Baseballgal, our Dual Alarm Clock comes with all sorts of nice features such as as dual alarm, a battery backup - which is optional and is not necessary to operate your clock and a bright LED digital display. The battery backup feature can be most useful in the event of a power outage and your clock would automatically continue to operate and maintain both the regular time and the alarm time on a temporary basis. This model also comes with an oversized snooze button which allows you to have an extra 9 minutes of sleep time if you are not ready to get up quite yet. Unfortunately, this clock does not come with a radio. However, we hope that the other features mentioned in this reply will serve your purposes well. Jenny, in terms of dimming the brightness of the display, unfortunately, there is no way to minimize it. However, what you can do is you can place a light dimming sheet over the screen which will take away the screen’s brightness if that is what you prefer. Jenny, the light dimming sheet will act like “black out blinds” which will take away the glare on the eyes when looking at the clock’s display. A: Hi Freddo. Thank you for your interest in our Westclox Dual Alarm Clock Black. This clock requires 2 fresh AAA batteries (Not included) to operate when using the Battery Backup feature. Freddo, the Battery Backup feature on this clock is optional and comes in handy in the event of a power outage. Please note however, that since this clock works off of electricity you cannot switch between using the electrical cord or using the batteries since the Battery Backup Feature only works temporarily. Unfortunately, it is not possible to shorten the duration of the SNOOZE time with this particular clock. We do have some clocks where the SNOOZE alarm will ring for approximately 4 or 5 minutes after the SNOOZE bar has been activated. However, with this specific model it has been programmed to ring every 9 minutes after the SNOOZE bar has been pushed and therefore it cannot be changed. It is definitely a great feature to have in the event of a power outage. As for the sound, the sound is a constant beeping noise and will stop when either the SNOOZE bar is pressed or when the alarm is shut off.
