A: No, this alarm is very, very low. It seems to get a little louder the longer you leave it, but it is not loud enough to wake me until it has been ringing for a few minutes. I'll be returning this, and I am a very light sleeper.

To answer your question, the alarm clock does come with an instruction page that walks you through setting the time, and it’s quite easy to set up as long as you follow the steps provided. As for the display, visibility can be a bit subjective, but the white light display is generally easy to see across a room. If you prefer it brighter, placing the clock a little closer to your bed or viewing area helps. If you’d like it less bright, positioning it slightly farther away works well. Please note that the brightness on this model is not adjustable.

Our Model 71036 comes with a 5V / 0.5A adapter. You may use another compatible adapter, but please make sure it is suitable for electronic devices and does not exceed 5V / 2A.
Regarding energy use, we can’t confirm the clock’s exact wattage during normal operation because that can vary depending on the functions being used. However, based on the included 5V / 0.5A adapter, the maximum power available to the clock would be approximately 2.5 watts.
In actual use, the clock may consume less than that depending on the display brightness and other features in use.

Based on the user manual for model #71036, the clock’s accuracy depends on how it’s powered. A few things to check:
1. Primary power source: The clock is designed to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet using its power cord.
2. Battery backup: The batteries (2 AAA) are only meant to maintain the time during a power outage, not to run the clock continuously.
3. Time drift on batteries: If the clock is running only on battery backup, it may lose or gain time (sometimes noticeably over a day or two).
4. Reset after outage: If it has been running on batteries, it may need to be manually reset once plugged back in.
Could you please confirm if the clocks are plugged into a wall outlet during use?
Also, if you haven’t already, I’d recommend trying a quick hard reset, as this often resolves common issues:
1. Unplug the clock from the outlet
2. Remove the backup batteries (if installed) for one minute
3. Press the SNOOZE button 2–3 times to drain any residual power, wait about 30 seconds, and repeat

Only lasted 2 years.
Bought February 2024, died February 2026. Used to see time by cable box since the new boxes don’t show the time. Looked nice and worked good I guess for a $10.00 clock. But only lasting two years is unacceptable.

Perfect little alarm clock with just the essentials!
This is the perfect alarm clock! I got it so I don't have to keep my phone by the side of my bed. I love the minimalist interface, it's easy to use, just the essentials -- I loved it. Unfortunately I moved to Spain and accidentally plugged it into a 240 v socket, and it immediately died. In fact this review could be considered a eulogy of sorts. I'm now longingly looking it up online, wishing I could ship it to Spain. For some reason this version with this particular font/design is hard to find, seems like it's only offered at Target, which does not ship to Spain. I'm hoping it's still here when I come back to visit!!!
