Q: how does the battery back-up work? I have an AA battery in it but if I unplug it, it does not continue to run.
A: I believe the battery backup simply retains the time so when you replug you don’t need to reset the time.
submitted byFredleep - 7 years agoA: The battery back up will only hold the time setting. There is not enough power in the battery to light the green display.
submitted byTelos - 5 years agoA: The instruction say the time and the alarm will remain set and the alarm will go off as set. But, the time will not show on the clock face to save the battery. The time will show again once it is connected to electricity

Q: Does it auto reset the alarm for the next day?
A: The alarm always remains set at the last time used unless you reset it. Each day you need to turn the alarm on and off as you use it.
submitted byTelos - 5 years agoA: The alarm remains set at the time it was set at, all you need to do is turn the alarm on and off once it is set.

Q: When the time changes does the clock change on its own?
A: Hi Cheryl, Thank you for reaching out. To answer your question, model #88141doesn’t automatically change the time on its own. You’ll need to manually set it by pressing and holding the TIME button, then using the HOUR and MINUTE buttons. It does have a battery backup feature that keeps your time and alarm settings during a power outage, but it won’t update automatically, for example, when the time changes during Daylight Saving. Let me know if you have other questions. Best regards, Nyl Holdings LLC Customer Satisfaction Team

(if installed) 3. Press the SNOOZE button 2 - 3 times (This will drain any residual electricity.) NOTE: It is highly recommended that you repeat this procedure again after about 30 seconds or so. 4. Wait 10 seconds, then plug the clock back into the electrical outlet and re-install the batteries back into the battery cover. (If applicable.) 5. Insert one fresh “AA” battery into the battery compartment. Make sure to insert the battery matching the + / - symbols inside. Please allow some time for the clock to reset after the process is complete and see if there have been any changes or not with the clock’s performance. Harlie, if your clock is no longer malfunctioning then your clock is ok. if not, please let us know. Harlie, thank you again for reaching out to us on the Bazaarvoice portal. Best regards!
