A: I believe the battery backup simply retains the time so when you replug you don’t need to reset the time.

A: The instruction say the time and the alarm will remain set and the alarm will go off as set. But, the time will not show on the clock face to save the battery. The time will show again once it is connected to electricity

A: The battery back up will only hold the time setting. There is not enough power in the battery to light the green display.

A: Hi, To adjust the volume on the alarm you can use the soft/loud slider located on the top.

A: The volume is preset to one level. It cannot be adjusted.

A: The alarm will continue for about 10 minutes if not shut off. Then it will stop sounding.

Although this clock does not come with dimming capabilities there is a way that you can lessen the brightness on the display in the absence of there not being a dimmer. Wahoo, what you can do is you can place a light dimming sheet over the screen which will take away the screen’s brightness if that is what you prefer. These screens can be purchased online and act like "black out blinds” which takes away the glare on the eyes when looking at the clock’s display. Most of our customers have found these sheets to be extremely helpful and we hope that it will serve that purpose for you as well if you are interested. However, generally speaking you should not use a standard alarm clock with 200 volts as most are designed for much lower voltage. Typically around 120 volts in North America. Arun, attempting to run this clock with 200 volts could damage the device due to the high voltage that the clock would incur. A: Thank you for your interest in our Westclox Digital LED Alarm Clock. This clock has a build in memory for the SNOOZE feature. So therefore you are not able to set the SNOOZE feature at all. When using the SNOOZE bar, Press the SNOOZE when the alarm is sounding. The alarm will be silenced temporarily, but will sound again after 9 minutes. The SNOOZE can be repeated for up to one hour. However, you can always cover the display with light Dimming stickers that you can purchase for example: through Amazon which should resolve the brightness issue for you. A: Hi Anne. Thank you for your interest in our Westclox Black Digital Alarm Clock. Anne, this clock IS Electric powered that comes with a battery backup feature. The back up feature ensures that the clock will remain functionable even if there is a power outage. However, the clock will only work on batteries temporary hopefully until the power is restored. Moreover, this clock uses an AA volt battery to operate the backup feature and since it is an electric clock, you are not able to substitute using the battery instead of electricity.
