Q: is it electric and what are the measurements

A: Don't believe everything you read here. It has a battery backup to keep settings in case of power outage.

submitted bynative Maineiac - 8 years agoA: And Yes, its electric (funny that's not mentioned). The measurements Maineiac gave sound right - the two I bought are at my 94 yo mom's - with diminshed eyesight and no patience for learning new complicated electronic things, this clock was great for her.
submitted bymoms daughter - 8 years agoA: There is a place for the battery on the bottom of the clock. Note that while it is on battery backup, the time will not display, so as not to use up the battery. However, it will hold the time and alarm settings even though you don't see a display.
submitted byLinda R - 4 years agoA: I do not recommend this clock. It is big (7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2). It has very big red numbers, which flash whenever the power goes off. No battery can be attached, so your wake-up time is gone unless you reset everything from default.

A: No, not very well. I'm very nearsighted, and the numbers are big but they are faded at every joint which defeats the purpose of the big letters. It looks like a blob of orange. I have to squint hard to make out the numbers because of the fading.

Okay, it's me, not the clock. It is accurate. The nightlight is nice. Numbers are bright enough to be easily read. BUT, You can only get the numbers to go one way. Meaning if you are on 11 and want 10 you must go through 12-9 to finally get to 10. Same with the minutes. I was not the one to choose this clock when mine died. I'm anxiously waiting for it to die or give me a valid reason to replace it. I prefer a clock that is much easier to set! 👩🏻🦳

Love the large numbers, easy to see. Some people mentioned a buzzing sound coming from clock. I put a piece of fabric under my clock between my nightstand and the clock, which eliminated the buzzing sound. I am very happy with my purchase.

I really like the simplicity of this clock but I was unlucky enough to get one that buzzes, as noted in other reviews. It’s a constant loud and irritating buzz. Going back to Target.

I've only had this clock for a day. It was fine at first but later started making a really loud nonstop buzzing sound. Not sure if this has to do with a defective batch because there are reviews that don't seem to have an issue it

I bought this clock because I really liked how the display looked. A couple weeks after having this plugged in it started making a buzzing noise. I’m glad I’m not the only one hearing this noise. I will be returning ASAP.

My 8 year old wanted a clock for their room, so I wanted something that was simple and didn't have a lot of complicated buttons. We haven't used the alarm on it so I can't really say how well that works, but the numbers are big and easy to read and the nightlight is easy to use and works great. It was easy to set the time on it.

I like the size of the display; it can be seen easily across a room. The nightlight is a useful feature, as is the ease of setting the times. However, the alarm may not be loud enough for deep sleepers or the hard of hearing. (In fact, my phone's alarm is louder than this clock.) I will keep it for the large time display/nightlight, but it's nearly useless for a wake-up call.
