Q: is it electric and what are the measurements

A: Measurements: 7" wide x 3" deep x 3 1/4" high. Numbers are nice and big. Very easy to set.
submitted bynative Maineiac - 8 years agoA: And Yes, its electric (funny that's not mentioned). The measurements Maineiac gave sound right - the two I bought are at my 94 yo mom's - with diminshed eyesight and no patience for learning new complicated electronic things, this clock was great for her.
submitted bymoms daughter - 8 years agoA: I do not recommend this clock. It is big (7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2). It has very big red numbers, which flash whenever the power goes off. No battery can be attached, so your wake-up time is gone unless you reset everything from default.
submitted bydissapointed - 8 years agoA: There is a place for the battery on the bottom of the clock. Note that while it is on battery backup, the time will not display, so as not to use up the battery. However, it will hold the time and alarm settings even though you don't see a display.

A: No, not very well. I'm very nearsighted, and the numbers are big but they are faded at every joint which defeats the purpose of the big letters. It looks like a blob of orange. I have to squint hard to make out the numbers because of the fading.

Sharp has made an essential alarm clock. The numbers are large and bright, the features are simplified and the buttons and switches are chunky and agreeable. The product does emit a low energy hum that is barely discernable which is strange because it's digital and has no radio. l

This clock is a bit large, and the display is large if that’s what you want. The display is in a bright red, too bright for me. It would be nice if there was a dimmer feature for the display. It’s easy to set up. There is no radio. I’m returning this item.

I have purchased this item 5 times now! It's the best clock for all ages because the numbers are large and easy to read in the dark, but not super bright that it lights up the room. The best part for kids is that there is a nightlight on it, so no need to take up an additional outlet for a nightlight!

Okay, it's me, not the clock. It is accurate. The nightlight is nice. Numbers are bright enough to be easily read. BUT, You can only get the numbers to go one way. Meaning if you are on 11 and want 10 you must go through 12-9 to finally get to 10. Same with the minutes. I was not the one to choose this clock when mine died. I'm anxiously waiting for it to die or give me a valid reason to replace it. I prefer a clock that is much easier to set! 👩🏻🦳

Love the large numbers, easy to see. Some people mentioned a buzzing sound coming from clock. I put a piece of fabric under my clock between my nightstand and the clock, which eliminated the buzzing sound. I am very happy with my purchase.

I really like the simplicity of this clock but I was unlucky enough to get one that buzzes, as noted in other reviews. It’s a constant loud and irritating buzz. Going back to Target.
