Q: There is no rotation button on this clock the projection has to be read from right to left
A: I'll answer this again because its such a fail. If you place it on your nightstand, you need to face the clock away from you to see the projection in the correct orientation. If I am incorrect, please feel free to correct me.submitted byWSilver - 3 years ago
A: This is SO weak. If you are buying for the projection, don't bother. Its backwards. That is useless to me. This complaint is echoed numerous times. I can get the projection to be normal if I face the clock face away from me. But then I can see the clock face. Unless there is a way to switch the orientation of the projected time, which I haven't seen after a couple of hours of searching the web, you are adding ZERO value. My humble recommendation is do not buy this if you need the projection feature to be operationally useful.submitted byWSilver - 3 years ago
A: The clock is meant to be placed on a nightstand, either to the right or left of you. When laying in bed, the projection will display the time correctly either directly above you or across the room if the projection arm is tilted. Q: How do you dim the display...
A: Hello. Thank you for your question. This model has a fixed display brightness. There is no dimmer. Best regards, MZ Berger Teamsubmitted byM.Z. Berger Team - 4 years agoBrand expert
A: Well that sucks!! The light is way too bright to sleep with it on. I only paid 25 bucks or so, I’ll just buy a quality alarm clock with dim button!! Btw y’all, this sharp brand is not related to the renown Sharp brand we’re all familiar with. Also, quick fix for the bright none-dimmable light; just put a piece of cloth or washcloth on the clock face… the projection still works fine.submitted byheretohelp - 2 years ago
A: We've had this clock for a couple of years and it is perfect. It is very simple (for us) to use. And, we have no problem with the light!submitted byMaxikat - 28 days ago

Q: Can anyone tell me about how big the projection itself is? I'm trying to find a way to project a LARGE time on the wall for exams....hoping the projection is a lot bigger than the screen itself.
A: Yes, the projection is larger than the clock display. The farther away the surface you project on to, the larger the letters will appear. Please note, this works best in a dark or very dimly lit room.submitted byM.Z. Berger Team - 9 months agoBrand expert

Q: do i remove the battery back up once i get it connected to the source
A: Thank you for your post. The battery back is optional. You don't need to use it if you do not wish to. The back up battery will hold the time and alarm settings while the power is interrupted; when the power is restored, the display will be re-lit. Please note that the display will remain dark until the power is restored.submitted byM.Z. Berger Team - 3 years agoBrand expert
