  • A: The clock is meant to be placed on a nightstand, either to the right or left of you. When laying in bed, the projection will display the time correctly either directly above you or across the room if the projection arm is tilted.   • A: I'll answer this again because its such a fail. If you place it on your nightstand, you need to face the clock away from you to see the projection in the correct orientation. If I am incorrect, please feel free to correct me.

  • A: This is SO weak. If you are buying for the projection, don't bother. Its backwards. That is useless to me. This complaint is echoed numerous times. I can get the projection to be normal if I face the clock face away from me. But then I can see the clock face. Unless there is a way to switch the orientation of the projected time, which I haven't seen after a couple of hours of searching the web, you are adding ZERO value. My humble recommendation is do not buy this if you need the projection feature to be operationally useful.

  • A: Well that sucks!! The light is way too bright to sleep with it on. I only paid 25 bucks or so, I’ll just buy a quality alarm clock with dim button!! Btw y’all, this sharp brand is not related to the renown Sharp brand we’re all familiar with. Also, quick fix for the bright none-dimmable light; just put a piece of cloth or washcloth on the clock face… the projection still works fine.

    Battery Port Doesn't Work

    I wanted to go cordless because it looks better. But it won’t operate on batteries.

    Thank you for your review. The brightness actually is NOT fixed--there is a dimmer which adjusts the brightness. At the higher settings, the clock should be very easy to see in the dark. The projection light is also very bright by default and should be clearly visible in a dark room.     Definitely get what you pay for...not bad for cheap

    It's not bad for cheap; however, don't expect anything high end. It's a typical alarm clock that allows you to see the time and date. The instructions on how to use it are pretty self explanatory and I admire simplicity. The overall design is pretty small and lightweight and made of a cheap plastic so I question the durability of the product. So as long as you don't slam it around it should be fine lol. Also the base of the alarm clock isn't very sturdy so if the surface isn't flat enough it just wobbles. As for the projection feature (the soul reason I bought it honestly) is not as strong as I'd like. I didn't expect much but then again, I don't know what I was expecting exactly. It's definitely intended to be seen at night rather than raw daylight. Which then again, that part should be pretty obvious. Other than that, good alarm clock and I recommend it to people who are looking for something that works but not for people with high expectations regarding quality.

    Too bright for an alarm clock

    The backlight on the main screen is bright enough to read by, and IT CAN'T BE TURNED OFF. It literally lights up the whole room. Incredibly stupid feature for a clock that's clearly meant to be used in the dark.

    This is a fabulous clock from Sharp!! So easy to read and has it all!!! - the time, the date including weekday, month & year and also the alarm time, if set. Also, and this is a real bonus, the digital time can shine on the ceiling if you want. This is the best clock i've ever owned and I want one in all the bedrooms and the kitchen.

The projection is much larger, but it can only be seen in a dark room. If you need a clock with a bright display that can be seen from anywhere in a room, we recommend you look for a model with a jumbo LED display.

    In a word: Hor-ri-ble

    Straight out the box it was hard to read once plugged in. I had to angle it so that it was right in front of me in order for their not to be numbers that disappeared or faded. Then I went to set it and it was not intuitive or user friendly. I'm great with technology and this was just like nope you're going to have to read the manual. Which is fine. I never even tested the projector side of things because the regular clock was just so bad. This item really shouldn't be for sale. Any amount you pay is too much. They all need to ship back to the factory. I should have never bought it when I noticed that every single one of them that was on the shelf had been returned. Target send these back to Sharp.

    Better than you think with a little adjustment

    I ordered this clock for my front room and was at first unhappy with the clarity of the clock face, as I have read others were also unhappy with. I found that if you tilt the clock forward just a bit, the lights or day time sunshine does not hit the face and it's clear as a bell. I LOVE this clock and bought another for my bedroom (my new dvr has no clock). It was definately worth the money. TRY IT. BTW, I don't care about the projection, never did.

    Good for the price

    Overall, for the price is not bad. The projector works great at night when you wake up and try to figure out what time it is but is a little bit on the weak side when it comes to any lights on in the room.

    Invisible Display

    The display is only readable if you are looking down on the clock or directly at it. If you are looking at it from below, it becomes invisible. Also the projected image is blurry. Because I placed the clock on a dresser above the bed I cannot read the display. Therefore I am going to have to return it.

    Projector can be seen in the total darkness no more than 2 feet from the unit itself. Total waste of money, for a similar item from Temu 100 times better and brighter
