Fatal Witness by Patricia Bradley is the second book in her Pearl River series. At the age of nine Dani Bennett witnessed the murder of her parents, but she has no memory of it. Someone wants to keep it that way. When Dani becomes a target, K-9 Officer Mark Lassiter makes it his mission to keep her safe. This was a very intense, suspense filled story. The characters worked well together and the story flowed smoothly. I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.

"Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you." These words from Psalm 56:3 are often quoted in Fatal Witness and author Patricia Bradley couldn't have chosen a better verse for this riveting tale of murder, memory loss, and a killer's efforts to make sure that those lost memories are kept buried forever. There is heart-pounding danger and nail-biting suspense, along with fear and a need for trust! I was fully engaged from the very first pages of Fatal Witness! If you're looking for an intense thriller that you can't put down, grab a copy of Final Witness. I couldn't wait to learn the truth, but I didn't want it to end! Very deserving of being more than a 5-star read!! I received a copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review.

I immediately went into Fatal Witness after finishing the first book, Counter Attack. I highly recommend reading them in order. Patricia Bradley has done it again! She has written an incredible work of fiction that will have you spellbound until the very last word! You all, I KNEW who the bad guys were, and I was writing this whole plot in my head, and when a family member jumped in the fray, I figured that person was spying. I was so wrong 😂😂. I still think one of them should have been the bad guy! I did get hints as to who it was, but just like the characters in the story, I dismissed it, and I was like it couldn't be. Apparently, it could! 💛continuing story of characters from Counter Attack 💛Strong characters 💛family secrets 💛dissociative amnesia disorder 💛guard dogs 💛intense scenes 💛reconciliation 💛cold case murder 💛multiple plot twists I devoured this book and couldn't put it down. While I think I liked the first book better, they are both fantastic reads and get all the stars from me. I can't wait for the next book in this series!!

This book is amazing as it follows the story of Dani Bennett whose parents were murdered when she was just a young child. Ripped away from her familiar surroundings by her Uncle Keith, she has been working as an artist in the badlands of Montana when she begins to get curious about her partial memories that keep surfacing. Returning to the little town of Pearl Springs, TN, Dani finds her grandmother and a protector named Mark Lassiter. She didn’t even know she needed protection until multiple attempts are made on her life. This book has riveting suspense and characters who are relatable with complicated personalities. This well-crafted story is totally addictive, with its non-stop action and its sensitive exploration of trauma as well as the way Dani’s lost memory is teasingly revealed slowly. I loved the descriptions of the settings, especially in Tennessee where the author made it easy for me to picture the winding roads and the isolation of some of the homes. With intricate plot threads that the author draws seamlessly together into one well written story, this book is one filled with depth and is brilliant in the way the multiple layers come together in the end. My favorite characters were the Puli dog that Dani owns who is well trained to protect her and Mark’s dog Gem who is nothing short of remarkable in his abilities and intuitiveness. This is a cleverly written page turner with a fast pace, tight plot and good chemistry between the characters. Fans of romantic suspense will love this book as it is one I could not put down! Dani Bennett was just a child when she witnessed her parents’ murder and was whisked away by her uncle to hide in Montana, but she has no memory of the event or of any of her childhood before then. After being discovered by her long lost grandmother, Dani returns to her hometown of Pearl Springs, Tennessee, but she quickly realizes that the killer thinks she can identify him and is willing to kill again to keep his crimes a secret. When K-9 deputy, Mark Lassiter sees Dani almost getting shot on her grandmother‘s property, he fights to find the killer and fights his ever growing feelings for Dani.💎 Fatal Witness is the second book in Patricia Bradley’s Pearl River series, and I loved being back in Pearl Springs and seeing many of the characters from book one, as well as meeting some new ones. Pearl Springs is a place where everybody knows everybody, but evidently you don’t know everyone as well as you thought you did, and it was exciting to see this play out. The story was full of mystery and suspense, and it keeps you guessing until the end. Overall, Fatal Witness is an enjoyable read, and I’m looking forward to book three!💜 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 A big thank you to Revell Fiction for sending me a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.📙

Patricia Bradley had me hooked by the end of the first paragraph. Danielle Bennett AKA Dani Collins had a nine-year hole in her memory. A hole that included anyone she had known and loved during the first nine years of her life other than her Uncle Keith. Now circumstances were lining up to pull her into that hole, and into a killer's sights. Once again Bradley has woven a tale of mystery and suspense with plenty of clues and misdirection. Fatal Witness is a book that won't easily be laid aside. While the story includes a touch of romance, it does not overshadow the suspense. While readers may consider the correct character in the role of villain, it is doubtful they will feel confident in that prediction until almost the very end. Bradley shows herself to be a master of the plot twist, and in doing so brings hours of reading pleasure. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of Fatal Witness from Revell via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Wow, just wow! This is a book I’ll be thinking about for a while yet. So much action, family ties and trained dogs to help solve a twenty five year cold case murder. So many suspects to plow through and keep me guessing right up until the last few pages. Dani was just nine years old when she heard her parents being murdered. She was rescued and taken away by her uncle. Twenty five years later she still has amnesia about the first nine years of her life. She learns she has a grandmother she didn’t know she had in the small town where she grew up before the murders. She decides to go there to see her grandmother and that’s when she begins to be shot at from an unknown assailant. Enter deputy Mark to keep close and try to keep her safe. Numerous townspeople remember her, some friendly, some not. Trying to run one step ahead of the sniper keeps them in danger and moving to different locations. This is a great story with lots of suspense and heart thumping moments. A must read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher but was not required to write a review.

Wow! Fatal Witness kept me guessing right along with the main characters for the entire story! Every time I thought I had this story figured out, Bradley through another wrench into the mix – or another bomb at heroes. I definitely didn’t want to see them blow up, because while Bradley penned the perfect amount of mayhem into this story, I really liked the world she built. As the second book in the Pearl River series, Fatal Witness takes us back to Pearl Springs, Tennessee, and into the community of law enforcement people we met in Counter Attack, and I loved that. These people are kind and funny with a long history and fascinating geography, and this all works together to create a really neat story world. Bradley ties this all together masterfully. Stories with strong characters and twisty plots are my favorite, and Bradley nails that with Fatal Witness. It’s a really entertaining book to read, and I can’t wait to see what Bradley brings to Pearl Springs next. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own.

If the wrong people see it, there will be problems. Dani Collins experienced the trauma of her parents being murdered when she was 9 years old and still has amnesia 25 years later. She has become a very successful ceramic artist making the cover of Pottery Making Illustrated. However, she wants no pictures of herself - just to be safe. But what happened in the past that causes such fear? What did she witness? This story will keep you on the edge of your seat and may even cost you a few fingernails. Will Dani survive to finally remember? This well written mystery will keep you guessing right up to the rather unexpected end. An early copy of Pearl River #2 was received through Revell Books, Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.
Excellent page-turning suspense!

Could not stop turning pages!! "I want you to get in this cabinet, and no matter what happens, you stay here until Mama or I come get you. Can you do that?" After experiencing major trauma at 9 years old, Dani cannot remember a thing about her early years. Mae Richmond is a spunky artist who lost her daughter and son in law to murder and her granddaughter disappeared. She makes her own crime board, visits her local law enforcement regularly, and never gives up hope she may find her granddaughter someday. K-9 officer Mark Lassiter in Pearl Springs, Tennessee, and his boss Alex Stone are bent on protecting Dani against the person out to silence her. Hang on tight, you are in for a suspenseful story that will have you turning pages late into the night. A story of unexpected romance, suspense, justice and healing. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it! Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.
