submitted byMJ - 6 months agoTarget staff supportA: NO!!! dry clean only this blanket. otherwise it loses the fur like quality and becomes more like sheeps fleece. if I could take a picture of what happened to mine I would.

This blanket is super soft and has a luxe feel and style. I was surprised how well it washes being that it’s faux fur! No matting or shedding ! I even put it in the dryer on low and it tumbled out looking just as new as the day I bought it! The price is very good especially for the quality and style of this luxurious blanket. I keep it thrown on my sofa during the winter months to add a little warmth to our family room. It may be a little too cozy … my dog will not leave the sofa when covered by this blanket! I went and purchased two more blankets for our chairs so we could enjoy too!

I love this blanket. It’s incredibly soft and warm and on par with much more expensive faux fur blankets I have purchased in the past. This blanket is easy to wash in the machine (I usually let it air dry) and huge bonus- my cats are obsessed with cuddling on it. It’s a cat cuddling magnet.

The blanket looked great out of the box but upon washing it as per directions, the texture became matted and looked awful. The backing is noy tightly attached to the furry part and is loose. This blanket sheds like crazy and looks so terrible now.

Pros: Looks good, feels good. Cons: too small for an adult to cover themself with, and you will not stay warm at all. If you want a blanket that looks like a blanket, but won't help you keep warm, this is the blanket for you.

The phony fur and the backing are only attached around the edge--so that the thing turns into a ball in the dryer, but also doesn't provide much in the way of coverage for warmth, because the thing keeps shifting around. I've never seen a worse blanket in my 56 years. I now use it as a blanket for my dog to sit on in the car (he couldn't even make it quite right for himself on the couch; he'd just have to keep working at it--it's sad).
