It’s not the product itself that is a bad product but the delivery from Fedex. It was delivered from Target in no box and only had the sticker of the address on the plastic itself. Delivered it on the floor (it just rained outside) and the plastic was off of the product. It came dirty from being on the floor and in the elements of transportation. I am truly shocked with Target because I have never had a problem with their packaging or delivery service before until this day.

I cannot comment of how well the filter works but wanted to comment on the Fit. I purchased the 1085 Allergen Defense Air Filter in 14x14x1 , 14x30x1 and 20x30x1 sizes. None of them fit. I was able to squeeze the 14x14 sized filter by slightly bending one side but has to bend much more of the larger filters to force the fit. I previously had the basic Filtrete filters in the same sizes and they fit with no problem but I wanted to upgrade my filter. Unfortunately, the upgrades version is just slightly larger despite being the same sizes. I will return this product and either have to go with the basic filter or find a higher quality filter by a different brand .

repeated issues with packaging

The price was very competitive. I don't have a problem with the product, just the way it was delivered. I ordered 6; normally they are sold by the manufacturer as 6 in a sturdy carboard box and that is how other vendors then ship the 6. I could not believe that the Target vendor just slapped an address label on the cellophane wrapped filter. These filters are made with a thin carboard border, so they arrived as 6 individual items, each bent or with a torn wrapper. It also was raining and left outside in the weather some were soaked. I complained to Target who promptly shipped me 6 (again individually wrapped) filters. This time they tried to protect each filter with collapsed carboard shipping boxes folded together- again some were slightly damaged on arrival. Until the Target vendor knows how to properly ship these filters, I would not recommend their purchace from Target.

Been using the 2200 smart filters for a couple of years. Every time I hit the three month mark, the Bluetooth stops transmitting even though I still have 25% filter life left. For the price paid, I expect more.

I purchased this filter a few days ago. Before installing this filter, my husband was sneezing very often everyday. We were so amazed the first day, he did not sneeze at all; everyday since, it has been the same. I know a person would have a hard time believing it could work so well and so fast, but it is absolutely true. Thank you for making such a wonderfully made product.

This does exactly what is says it will do. With all the wildfire smoke, I was worried but this did a great job. The 1085 can not be beat for the price. I don't have severe allergies or asthma so I can't say how it does against those.

Been using the 20x25x4 for multiple years now. Filters work great, I replace mine every 90 days in my house. Never had any issues or concerns about quality or construction of the filters. I've seen many complaints about the 1" thick filters and while I understand their concerns; a 1" thick filter is old technology and should consider getting a larger filter box. I find the complaints about the tabs holding the pleats in the filter where you may have to push a few back trivial. You're buying a MERV 11 equivalent disposable filter, again DISPOSABLE. It wasn't long ago when everyone was just using the blue fiberglass air filters.. There is a balance between retail cost and manufacturing cost. If they raised prices to appease everyone, they'd complain the filters are too expensive even though build quality is excellent!

the reinforcement of side facing the blower has been eliminated, this has effect that causes the side facing blower to bow toward blower .this is not good .never had this problem with previous design.

Hello. 3M has made a change to our Filtrete MPR 1085 filters found at Lowes Home Improvement stores. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the demand of these filters, we have had to make modifications to our manufacturing which in some cases have caused a slight change to the filter. The new filters will not have the cardboard cross hatching and instead use a pinched-style frame. In keeping with 3M product quality assurance, the performance of the filter is not affected. I bought 16x20x1 as is instructed on furnace. It was too wide for slot. Prev filter said actual size 15 1/2 x 19 1/2 x 1. I found this to be the standard for most other brands. However, the filtretes purchaded are actual 15 11/16 x 19 11/16. Very odd and slightly too big.

Unfortunately this size can vary manufacture to manufacture. We make a number of different sized filters but will list the actual size on the frame of the filter so you can find the exact size you are looking for. Lots of difficulty connecting by Bluetooth, greatly reducing the utility. Use two filters in my system. For the same time period, the larger one claimed depletion while the smaller one claimed 34% left, but the smaller one was much dirtier. Both filters had irregular spacing of the folds, something which was not usual for the "dumb" filters. Don't know if this was a feature or a defect. Would classify this produce as potentially desirable, but more trouble than it is worth.

Ronnielove is right. My filter measures .750” with a dial caliper. The response to his review states the filter is 7/8”. Not true.
