Not very smart. It would not pair on my iPhone 14 pro or my iPad Pro. My devices can see it just fine, even devices of my neighbors; Everything i want to pair takes but a moment to pair. So what is the major malfunction here? I gave up and removed the app. Fast forward 3 months to change filters. Nope, not going to pair. Complete waste of money.

Unacceptable amount of time remove used filter!

My issue is with the next to impossible removal of this filter from my HVAC unit. The cardboard warped and therefore it had to be practically destroyed to remove it from it's spot. Maybe a little hook on the side to help remove it or something. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to take it out to replace it!

Useless gimmick that doesn't work

Bought the smart filter, thinking it's a good idea. But it doesn't work at all. After creating an account with Filtrete on their app, and giving into their demand of knowing your location 24/7 (the only way to be able to pair your filter is allowing location 24/7), removing the tab,, and waiting 20 mins, the filter still won't pair to my app. Only out a few dollars compared to the one I normally buy, but I wouldn't recommend this overpriced gimmicky junk to anyone

Not only is this a ripoff (sensor automatically tells you to replace exactly every three months), but the plastic on the sensor filled my house with a rancid burnt smell after a while.

I bought a Filtrate 1500 with the Yellow Smart App. NEVER Again. The App did NOT mate with my I-Phone. I barely got the filter intalled into the furnace holder. I had a very tough time removing the Filter from the Furnace blower unit. Normally this is easy. The Yellow unit interfered with the hardware in the furnace. Now, I have to remove the Yellow unit from the Filter and dispose of it as Hazardous Waste. That is according to the instructions. Do NOT buy these Filters with the so-called yellow Smart App. I am now looking at a different Filter.

I purchased this product since I am horrible at remembering to change my filter. With the app available it tells me tips on how to have better air quality and healthier air quality ideas! I check it every so often just to see how much longer until it needs to be switched out. I will definitely be purchasing this brand everytime. Its also not a bad price with it having the technology it has.

I purchsed a 2 pack of the 1500 in early Feb and installed one upon arrival. Then I went through the iPhone App download, registration process which was quite easy. But in the 1st quarter of any year we barely run our system as we live in AZ. So maybe it would run for 15 minutes in the morning just to break the overnight chill out of the air. Then by the end of Feb we didn't run our systems at all. But I noticed that the lifecycle of the filter in was diminishing. So I logged on to the website to see what in was there. The App shows 75% life remaining but the website shows 95%, which is probably about right. So I would recommend checking things out on the website before replacing.

Works great for me! I had installed mines on 30 Sep 19 and it's still at %40. But I do have a question for the So Cal Care group. I normally replace my filters every 3 months. Should I wait until my Filtrete 1900 Filter reaches %20 before I replace it again? Please advise. Thank you.

When switching to being the one who wasn't responsible to buying the home filter to being someone who is, I wanted what I got to be worth my money. My wife and I live in a house with a smoker and since we are former smokers only once we quit did we notice the air quality needed some help. With these as our main home filter and a hepa purifier we are hardly ever sick anymore. It's nice to have the app to get a better idea of when we should be changing rather that guessing and never being sure if its to early or late. The bluetooth is so so but when you check being closer to it is when you're thinking about it anyway. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
