Filtrete™ 16x25x1 MPR 1500 Air Filter, made by 3M, helps capture unwanted particles from your household air to contribute to a cleaner, fresher home environment. Designed with exclusive Filtrete™ 3-in-1 technology, including a high MPR 1500 and MERV 12 rating, your AC filter will help pull and capture countless microparticles – such as pet dander, smoke, bacteria and up to 54% of virus airborne particles (1) – while letting cleaner air flow through. Your Filtrete™ Filter will also capture large particles, including lint, pollen and household dust. This filter is also CERTIFIED asthma and allergy-friendly® (2). Use a 3-month pleated 1-inch home HVAC filter in your furnace, air conditioner or HVAC system. For optimal performance of your heating and cooling system or HVAC system, change your furnace filter at least every 90 days. Poor packaging
I purchased the #1550 accordion style 16x25x4 inch filter. The packaging is terrible. Every side of the filter was glued to the cardboard packaging. I ended up having to tear each glued section which caused the filter to bend and white padding to pull out like a cotton ball. I previously have used Aprilaire filters, but they discontinued the style I use. This filter’s quality is a poor substitute . Try to have one of your employees open the filter box and you will see what I mean. I can’t believe others have not complained about this packaging flaw before.

It showed up bent and busted. It’s not a good idea to send something like an air filter in a flimsy package. Put it in a box. Had to return and won’t buy filters from target again, unless in person.

How About a 18x20x1 filter rated 1900?
I need a 18x20x1 1900 filter but Filtrete doesn't make one, settled for a 1500 but not satisfied. Found an Aerostar filter and an evaluating it, but would prefer Filterate for good quality control and honest rating assessment.

Reduced quality
For years I have been using these filters and they fit snug. Now 3M has reduced the size and now the filter is loose inside intake and each furnace start and stop the filter makes a noise from the suction pulling filter up when on then falls down when off. Disappointed with companies reducing product quality especially 3M. I have to use duct tape to hold filter in place which is 3M also and it used to stick better for years and now I have to use more tape to hold due to this product quality also reduced.

Extremely beneficial for my allergies
Upon advice from my doctor to purchase a better a/c filter, I researched and purchased two of these. We quickly noticed a difference in the air quality, my headaches and sneezing are much better now. I am allergic to dust mites and my cats dander - I am extremely impressed. When I clean, there is far less dust accumulated on surfaces in my house which is lovely. After changing the filter recently we found out why - this filter is blocking everything. So great! We are considering investing in higher grades of the Filtrete brand because this one has done so well.

Excellant Filter
I upgraded from the Allergant Protector (also a great filter) just to see if I could tell a difference. I can! The air seems cleaner and it gives me peace of mind knowing that it helps with bateria and viruses.

You Deserve Clean Air

Purchased this after some work on air conditioner. I will continue to purchase these filters as opposed to the cheap ones. Improvements in odor, dust.
