Q: how do you change the batteries on this monkey?

A: Hi Cathy! To replace your Fingerlings batteries: lay your Fingerlings down so that the battery compartment faces upwards. Fingerlings requires 4 x “LR44 /AG13” Button Cell Batteries (included). Then, using a Phillips screwdriver remove the screws on the battery compartment cover. Remove any existing batteries and insert new batteries. Ensure that the positive and negative polarities match the illustrations inside the battery compartment. Finally, replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws using the screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.

The batteries lasted 2 days! I thought maybe mine was defective so I returned it and got another but nope, same thing happened with the other one. And of course they require batteries that are impossible to find. I think for what the toy does, the batteries just can't hold out. Which is unfortunate bc it is cute and my daughter loves it. Now it's just an inanimate ornament hanging in her room

This is a very cute monkey. However, my husband just got this for our daughter a day ago and it’s now glitching like the battery just run out. If you purchase this I’d recommend getting new barriers with it cuz like I said we just got it yesterday and having the toy for a day, the batteries are almost out.

It is able to easily hug both of their fingers. It’s a smooth and fuzzy texture and appears to enjoy being petted. It does make lots of different sounds that do become a bit repetitive however my little ones really enjoyed playing with it.

I can’t quite decide whether it’s cute or really annoying. It makes lots of different noises/reactions. Seems to ‘like’ being petted, and it’s small enough to fit in a drawer when you need to hide it for a bit!
